BRILLIANT! and so LOUD!
I'm soon to head off to bike across SE Asia and I was looking for a bell to aid me through my travels. When I picked up my bike from the excellent Barbourne Cycles in Banbury, the owner put me onto these bells as he had one on his bike. I must say, what a damn loud, but also lovely sounding bell! It's such a simple design and is simply superb for the price.A note worth mentioning is that the tone of this bell will cut through most surrounding noise—I work in audio part time and understand these nerdy things! ;-D

Very loud, slow decay and simple to fit.
Having got fed up with pedestrians wandering along the cycle lane completely oblivious to the fact that they are walking in the clearly marked cycle lane, listening to George Formby, or whatever thrash metal they enjoy and ignoring my frantic dinging of my old bell. I decided to give this beast a try.Took 2 minutes to fit, the longest part was deciding which of the two straps to use.The initial attack is loud and the decay takes a pleasingly long time to fade.I was trying it out in the garage with the door closed, just after fitting and my daughter, who was returning from her walk was two houses away and looking around to see where this bicycle was coming from, so it certainly is effective. It is very well made and looks like it will outlast me.7th March '21. Update:Having used this on a daily basis, I can say that it is extremely effective. Many people have said "That's a loud bell" as they move out of the cycle path.

Small, Unobtrusive and Loud
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Black and gold bell. Matches my bike nicely.Black dome, with gold/silver strike.Small bell but a nice loud ding that lasts for a few seconds.Strike is easy to flick. The bell is very easy to install. Comes with 2 sizes of metal wrap arounds which insert to bell, then you screw bell down, which pull the wrap to the bell.

Whilst this is a nice looking little thing
Whilst this is a nice looking little thing, it really is not up to the job in anyway what so ever. The 'ding' of the bell is so very quiet you're practically on top of the person your'e trying to warn before they hear you. As we all know people love to be frighted by a cyclist speeding up behind them. The spring in my bell lasted all of 5 rings before it broke. The method in which the bell attaches to the bars is interesting. There is no screw, instead there are 2 sizes of metal straps. The bell is then pushed in to place and held there by a rubber pad. I found it kept moving and working loose which was distracting and irritating. Also I found due to the whole weird fixing method I was unable to locate the bell near to my hand grip so actually had to steer one handed in order to use the bell. I would seriously think twice about fitting this to a child's bike.

Very little help attaching this stupid design to the bike
Bell works fine, very loud.If you fancy spending a good hour of father son time trying to work out how to attach this silly contraption to your handlebars, then this is the product for you. You'll get no manual, no hints, and two metal bars that can, conceivably, be attached to your bike but are either too short or too long for most bikes. There is a sticky 3M pad to put on there to pad it out slightly so that the longer one fits, but, again, its still too long. There is an Allen key provided to tighten and loosen the bell, which we eventually came realised the full use of (again, no bloody manual to be found here), but it operates a screw that was wonky when it arrived and made everything else a hassle. As a bell, can't be faulted. As anything you need to install, adjust and work with, its not worth the trouble.

Small, stylish, L O U D
It's small, it's stylish, it's loud. I love it. I ring it before I turn into side streets to give a heads up to pedestrians. Because it's a classic bicycle bell sound, they know what it means and what to look out for. It's loud enough to be heard over london's busy traffic. And loud enough to surprise people if you're passive aggressive and leave it to that last moment to ring it when pedestrians are in your way... he he, fun to see them jump.

A pleasant gentle ping
I'm asked to mention Sheerness and Thickness in this review of a cycle bell. Who on earth dreams this up?The bell is quite small and high pitched, not appreciably louder than my standard cheapo single-ping Bell which came with the bike. It is a slightly cleaner ping, less harmonic distortion as the ring sounds. Its not easy to place on the handlebar, obviously you want it within reach of your thumb at all times. The angle of its operation is less natural than the cheapo type. Given the total good points and total bad ones I think 4 stars is the right rating from me.

Solid and Loud
This is my 2nd Rockbros Bell. 1st is fitted to the MTB and survives every trail. Recently been using my Road bike more so needed/wanted a bell on that. Fits neatly against my stem bracket and flicked with a thumb. lets out a very high pitched and shrill tone, can be piercing if flicked hard enough!Quality is very Rockbros. Well finished and thought about item, comes with a narrow or wide tube steel strap so will fit almost any bars, and rubber strip to protect paintwork. If they made a Red version I'd buy that too!
