almost like cellophane and don’t twist up as nicely as the ...
These bags are long enough for the heavy duty Wilton bread pan that is 12 x 4. My loaves are right at 2#’s so baked up, they are tall-ish and the 12 inches long. There is plenty of room to twist the top. These bag lose stars based on the material they are made of. The plastic is crinkly, almost like cellophane and don’t twist up as nicely as the softer plastic in the bags store bought bread comes in. Fortunately my bread is frozen short term only (less than a week) but I won’t be purchasing these bags again. I’m going to keep looking for bags the same size but the soft plastic for easier sealing.

Bad Batch of Bags?
Not sure if I simply got a bad batch of bags or what. As I was putting a freshly baked (cooled) loaf of bread in the first bag, it tore. Got a second one out and my finger went through the bag as I was opening it. Very disappointed.

Reasonable company to work with.
When you try to open these bags they tear down the side. The material is kind of like cellophane and the pleat on one side is stuck together. Not a good bag at all!UPDATE: I originally gave these a one star review. This company worked with me (issued a refund past return date) and wanted pictures showing the problem so that they could correct the issue.

Great Bag for Bread ... Even Long Loaves!
I read the reviews before buying and I'm not sure what folks were talking about who said these were thin or not durable. They are great, and I bake a lot of bread. I do have to cut some of the bag off for my shorter loaves, but I'm glad to have the option of the longer length for when I need it. I will recommend these and definitely buy again.

Better Than Expected
The size in the product description left me very confused as I could not tell if it would work mine, nor anyone's, homemade bread.I use large bread pans to make Amish White Bread. The pans are 12" long by 5.5" wide making a real loaf of bread (go big or don't bake it). Nothing in the description helped me know if they would fit my bread. The bread fit into the bags and the included ties made for a nice presentation. I fully recommend these bags.I am sorry that I didn't take a picture with the full loaf of bread in the bag, but you get the idea.

Didn't work like I expected...
Seem like great bags. However, I got the bread pans that are more the size of an actual loaf of store bread. My bread fit in the bag but I couldn't close the bag. Couldn't gather any of the bag to twist tie. I had to put 2 bags on. Will need to find something bigger. Bummed.

Good price for this item
These were larger than I needed but the price is great. I would not use for freezing due to this type of plastic. I always double wrap in plastic wrap, then foil, then paper and label anyway, to form an sirtight seal when freezing.Someone brought up the question earlier. This is a very good price. I saw no defects. Since they are large they will fit even the artisan loaves I bake in my cloche. I cut down a few bags for one pound loaves; but I prefer they be too large rather than too small. No big deal. They work well and this was a price too good to pass up.I will buy again in a couple months. I will see if this seller has a variety of sizes of this brand.
