Waste of money and misleading advertising!
This is hardly a complete DIY robotics kit. The advertising is extremely misleading in calling it a robotics kit without mentioning it’s a simple 3D puzzle with a soldering element. I expected more than simple light effects slapped on a puzzle and other than teaching the theory behind a very simple circuit, this is hardly worth the price tag!!!! If they’re selling an individual “robot” for 50 dollars, then they’re asking the toolkit consisting of the cheapest soldering iron there is worth over $150?!?! I can find a better iron for 20 bucks on this site!! Extremely disappointing and a total waste of money if your intent is to do any real learning on robotics aside from very simple soldering. Thanks for the four hundred dollar tiny file though, that’s the only thing in this kit of any value!

A great way to learn some basic electronic engineering, and makes an awesome display piece!
I'm an avid RC car enthusiast, with a hobby-level background in engineering of all sorts. I'm always looking for cool display pieces I can assemble myself to decorate my home, so when I stumbled upon these rad little models made out of PCBs, I was blown away by what a great concept it was.You can assemble the model easily, with a number of options for customization (you can reverse the PCB pieces to be either silver or matte black) and included are a high quality sheet of adhesive decals. The instructions offer clear assembly guides and serve as an excellent primer on how to begin soldering. It serves as a great learning tool and in the end you have an awesome little display piece to show off!Highly recommended for young hobbyists with an interest in engineering (particularly electrical) who are at an appropriate age to learn the more involved basics of the field, such as soldering.

Needs more accurate instructions, and needs more parts.
This kit does NOT come with enough parts such as LED's and Resistors to complete this model (its a model NOT A ROBOT) per their instructions unfortunately. So one must be very careful when assembling this model. For example in the instructions they are asking for 2 resistor per leg (6 legs total), that's a total of 12 resistors yet they only send 15. So with that said you can follow their instructions as they are written, in my opinion they need to either send more items with their kits or redo their entire instruction booklet, people starting out with this kit will not understand this and will run out of parts before they are finished with the model and end up being very disappointed. Now the kit itself looks and feels great, have fun and read the instructions and make a plan before you start building.

An interesting and worthwhile experience for those into scale modeling.
This was a gamble for me and one that paid off. I thought I should learn soldering and these model kits provided a pretty great opportunity to learn. It was actually very rewarding to open up and learn. It provides pretty good instruction on how to do everything you need to and honestly came together a lot faster than most plastic kits. In the end, I got a pretty cool sci-fi model and learned how to solder as well! Check this out if you're looking for a new experience and an interesting standout in your model collection.

My son loves it
Personally I think the instructions NEED to be more in depth. It's hard to see where the soldering is supposed to go. Would have been 5 stars. Mt son loves it though.
