Dirt Devil& Royal Grand River Upright Style 5 Belts 2 Pk Part # 1LU0310X00

Started off by laying out a large trash bag on the kitchen table then setting the vacuum on it, removing the 6 screws holding the black plastic on created a lot of dust and also revealed a last screw holding the whole front of the vacuum together removing the roller after I decided to soak every plastic piece in hot water and dawn besides the roller. Then I used acetone to clean the burnt old marks of the old belt off of the motors spindle, and the used the acetone on a cloth to clean the whole brush, went from brown to white, continue cleaning and the spray a liberal amount of wd-40 on each side of the roller where the bushings are. Dirt and other soil came out so I kept spraying and pouring small amounts of acetone and wd40 shaking it up and cleaning it until it ran clean/clear. Then took a small piece of 220 grit paper and lightly scuffed up the area on the roller where the band sits. After all of the at I put the clear plastic back on mounting it’s single screw, then took the new band slightly stretched it and put it around the roller then took the other end and put it on the motor then installed the roller, putting the loose side in place first then the banded side. And it now works great, they engineer these cheaper models to fail quicker leaving big gaps for small rocks to ruin bearings and stuff. These bands fit exactly like they should it isn’t the bands fault that your rollers full of crud.

Instructions are a bit confusing. The belt holder slides into specific shaped area easily seen but not clearly explained by illustration. Otherwise it's all good for thick carpet cleaning

I have ordered a couple of sets in the last 6 months. The first set snapped after 3 uses. This set seems to be holding better.

I love my vacuum but every time it burns a belt my wife wants to heave it out because you can’t buy the belts locally. Amazon to the rescue!
