Clarity in Its Simplicity, Focus, and Direction
Productivity and Peak Performance shines a laser focus on the essence of what we're designed to be - our best. I love how Author Tuhovsky brings in relevant success stories of others and how they've excelled in specific areas of their strengths while acknowledging their natural shortcomings. Tuhovsky, himself, is a not only the teacher, but practitioner of his beliefs succinctly expressed in this excellent guide for us to continue our journeys well. I'm grateful I had the privilege to read and begin the application of the essential principles and tools so very much encouraging me forward in my own desires and goals. You want to buy this book for your great benefit and for those you want to help with your contributions to humanity.

Early Review
The book was solid but overall little distinction between this book and others in the genre. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it read more like a list of things that could be impacting your performance. Areas like sleep, diet, and exercise were all briefly touched on with simple solutions that could be found with a google search. For those that follow the author’s blog and subscribe to his email list, it seemed like an effort to create a long form FAQ to direct readers and subscribers to. Which isn’t bad. There seems to be a good number of people who will benefit from this. However, if you have a blog that discusses self improvement and lifestyle change, that seems the perfect opportunity to take deep dives into simple subjects.

The choice of destination and journey is yours
When we think about Peak Performance and Success, many well-known role models come to mind. What can we learn from them, what should we? Ian Tuhovsky rigthly tells us in his book not to imitate them, not to simply follow their good habits, but rather look deeper. What wild dreams did they pursue and accomplish; in which different direction did their major mistakes and failures bring them; to which new destination did their bold decisions steer them? Reaching our potential, living according to our purpose, fully experimenting success are only possible when we allow ourselves to be distinct, to be ourselves, says Ian. And that comes from a deep understanding of who we are and who we want to be.Drawing from his story and experience and borrowing from rich examples of many successful people, Ian guides the reader through a structured process. How far will one apply it? Whether only for simple continuous improvement in the right direction or for a major shift towards a complete overhaul, I find the book is useful in choosing someone’s destination and shaping the journey to aim for it.Jacques Gaumond, professional coach

Highly recommend
I just finished this book and I thought it was wonderful. I train, teach, and coach high school and college kids at work and one thing that struck me in the book was the sleep study. Every day without fail the kids come into work and I ask them how they are doing. Every day is the same answer, 'I'm tired' I didn't sleep much. This book helped me understand why they might always feel tired and want to share with them some habits that can really help them in their lives.

Self Awareness and Internal Mental Framework
Unlike other self-help books, his strategy emphasizes meditation, knowing yourself and your world view. Simply having the talent, skills and strategies is not enough. Once you can stop being competitive and focus on your gifts and how you want to develop them and how they might help society, the practice and strategies will fall in place. There are nice examples of successful people who have used a version of his approach and achieved peak performance. Understanding how you fit in rather than stand out is a refreshing lesson. 😉

Excellent guide to increased productivity and top performance.
In his new book "Productivity and Peak Performance" Ian Tuhovsky deals with the scientific basis of productivity and top performance. Tuhovsky provides a well-structured framework from building your own vision / goals to the importance of sleep and healthy nutrition to focus, single tasking and the importance of good habits. What is particularly positive about Tuhovsky's book is that he not only presents theses, but also backs them up with quotes and references to various sources. I have read a lot of books on this topic and I see Tuhovsky's new book clearly among the top 20% of books on this topic. For anyone who is interested in how to achieve their goals faster and reach top performance in their field, this book is a very clear reading recommendation.
