Potato Masher Choxila,[Good Grip] Potato Ricer Stainless Steel Professional Masher Kitchen Tool Fruit Press Baby Food Masher

I had never heard of a potato ricer, but needed one to make my grandmother's German potato dumpling recipe. I bought it based off other reviews that said it was durable and easy to clean. They were all right! This is a great product - and a great value!

“I’ll bring the mashed potatoes!” - This is what you’ll be saying to friends and family for upcoming potluck dinners. This makes light work of “mashing” your potatoes. The resulting potatoes are creamy, fluffy with no lumps at all.The best part is the easy cleaning: the hinge part has a pin and a little black rubber end. Just remove the black rubber cap/end and pull out the pin to remove. The pin slides right out and the unit is now in two completely separate pieces ready to wash. As with ANY utensil used with potatoes, wash is right away! (Don’t wait, the starch will become like glue if it’s allowed to dry) That’s the great thing about this item - it comes apart so easily, you have no excuse but to wash it or at least get it into water right away. The manufacturer provides extra black rubber ends, in case your original goes missing. Thank you!

It’s pretty effective— a little bulky; buckles and squeezes the potatoes a bit up to the side, but most comes out of the hole as expected. I’ll keep using it until it breaks. Right now it only complains and I haven’t seen it pop out yet— I wouldn’t go as far to call it flimsy, but it’s not the same quality as my other old style one. I’ll put up a pic.

Very sturdy and well built. Does the job! Easy to use.

The media could not be loaded. We make mashed potatoes a lot so this was a necessity. Takes time to clean, but that was not much of an issue. We make sure to use tender potatoes, but the last time we used it the prongs bent and we cannot repair it. Will update once I hear back from manufacturer.

I've been doing renovations to my house since July. I was out of a kitchen for 2 months. Which required me to eat out a lot, and I mean A LOT! Now that I have a fully functional kitchen, I've decided to start making a lot of the dishes and meals that I love. I love shredded hash browns. So I looked up a recipe to make them. The indicated a potato ricer was the secret to making them crispy. I read the reviews, and even watched a video on several options. I decided to go with this one. It is simple to use and the SQUEEZE is amazing. I knew potatoes held water, didn't know they held that much water. I made hash browns and they came out perfect!! I'm sure I can use it for a garlic press too! This is my new main squeeze!

It made mashed potatoes smooth but left some chucks in it. Blaming it on trial and error

Did exactly what it said and produces very light and fluffy mashed potatoes. Might only he’s a couple times a year but it’s worth it to do it right.
