Good looking dominoes, and the box is really nice too!

I was pleasantly surprised to see the quality of the box holding the dominos. It looked as though it may have been hand made with care. It will be a terrific way to carry the dominos.

This set is exactly what I've been looking for. I play Japanese (Riichi) Mahjong and wanted a set of tiles with Arabic numbers to help teach others. Proper Japanese sets with Arabic numbers don't however, seem to exist.These tiles are 28mm high. matching the larger Japanese sets (which are either 26mm or 28mm). The etching seems quite deep, including the etching of the Arabic numbers) and the paint work is very good, with only tiny flaws. The tiles seem to have enough heft to them, weighing 15 grams, they feel good in the hand and stack nicely. The tiles are thick enough that they can stand without racks.The paintwork is interesting, being just black and red, so no green tiles for the bamboo set. The exception is the green dragon tile which is a striking light green colour.The box is nicely made and the accessories seem of reasonable quality. I particularly like the wind indicator.The set includes 8 joker tiles for American Mahjong as well as the usual flowers and seasons, so 152 tiles in all.I have the following three minor criticisms-1. The description does not mention the size of the tiles. I knew they were 28mm tiles from reading the other reviews, but a player expecting Chinese size tiles will be in for a severe disappointment.2. The tiles do not come in trays. For a 'luxury' set I would expect the tiles to come in four removable trays.3. Some of the photos with the description are misleading. The first four photos showing the tiles in the box are accurate. There are however two photos of tiles showing completely different tile sets- without Arabic numbers and obviously of different design. This is just sloppy marketing.Obviously the set doesn't come with Japanese red fives. This can be remedied with stickers, a careful repaint job, or just doing without red fives (which are optional in Riichi anyway), other than that it's perfect for Japanese mahjong.

I bought these for office parties during Christmas and they were a hit. Can't beat the price either as they have the weight of more expensive dominoes I saw here on Amazon. The color is bone white and none of them had chips or marring - which is a big deal when you're playing! Each domino had clear black dots depicting counts. I am looking forward to using these for years to come!

The tiles have a nice feel and clear ingraved images. Rule book could be abit clearer,but there are many resources to learn online. The inbox dividers felt abit flimsy. Foam isnt glued down super well. Will still enjoy playing

At first glance I thought it was a very good buy. After I started to use the game, I realized the last two sections of holes were numbered WRONG. It does not speak well of the quality control. The quality of the game itself is as advertised, just better attention to simple items, make a much better impression of even a good product. Am I nit picking, yes, because otherwise I like the product. Very nice to look at and easy to use. I would buy this item again and I do recommend it to others.

Exactly as described

By some combination of the shape (weirdly concave on top) and/or texture, these pieces are really hard to hold. Within 30 seconds of opening I dropped 3 pieces on a hardwood floor (from about 3 feet high) and one of them split in half. I appreciate the wood design here, but if it comes with such poor usability and durability, I'd rather have plastic pieces.For the price, the board itself is nice, although I haven't owned it long enough to comment on durability. It does not have any latch, which I'd count as a drawback but in this price range the latch would probably not be very good anyway so I dunno...
