Not really impressed
Jag and patch is a rally loose fit in my Ruger .308 barrel. Didn't use Avid's foam cleaner, used Shooter's Choice. Patch came out clean after five complete operations. As a check, I then ran one of my regular wet patches through the bore followed by a dry patch and it came out black. It took seven additional full passes to get a regular patch to come out clean. My patches were so tight that you had to bump the cleaning rod with your hand to get it started down the bore. All cleaning was from the chamber end. It's a great idea, it just seems the jag is several thousands too small to get down into the rifling groves.

Great brush, not efficient patches or jag, I don't recommend
Great Brush, the jag and patches are a waste of time. Went back to cleaning with standard cotton patches which does a much better job with less time. These patches would be difficult to get through the rifle bore or would just come off the jag and make the cleaning rod that much harder to pass through the bore. I don't like the jog or the pacthes but like the brush.

Cut down cleaning time considerably!
This jag made cleaning my 5.56 barrel so much easier. A couple passes with this amounts to hundreds with a regular loop and patch system. Love it. Well worth the money

Well, I thought my Rifle was Clean..
Purchased the Creedmoor version at Cabelas to try and I am impressed. I thought I had cleaned my rifle good enough, but the patches told a different story..The fitment of the brush, jag, and patches are excellent. The patches absorb chemical very well, and leave hardly any lint behind. I would describe the texture very similar to the old synthetic Hoppes patches before they went all cotton a few years ago..I do miss them. All in all it took about 12 patches for my rifle. The 3 step process I used was Hoppes 9 for the carbon, Bore Tech for the copper, and Hoppes Black for oil. I bought some more on here for my different calibers, but I am sure they will clean just as well.
