Get this book if you own individual stocks!
All investors try to figure out what to buy, when to buy and most importantly, when to sell. Ed addresses these three areas in the most straight-forward manner I’ve ever seen. This strategy can and should be used by anyone looking to pick individual stocks. Investing doesn’t need to be complicated to be successful and Ed proves it. Great job writing this book and I know it will help many investors better manage their portfolios! For me, I bought and sold Amazon in 2010 for a quick trade. At the time, Amazon was losing money and it was tough to value the stock by traditional metrics. If this book would have come out 11 years ago, I wouldn’t have sold. Every investor needs a strategy, and this book gives you a great one.

The perfect book for the amateur investor!
This is a really easy and engaging read. I have been on a bit of a book marathon recently, trying to learn how best to invest in stocks and I have to say that for the retail investor with no prior experience this book is perfect! It is so simple and yet so logical.. It also manages to take out an awful lot of the emotion on how to manage your portfolio once you have decided which stocks to invest in, which can be one of the biggest pitfalls for any investor. All in all he covers all the bases and crucially even goes one step further than the other books that I have read by offering to send quarterly email updates on how he is managing his own portfolio.... suffice to say I signed up immediately!
