Flash Furniture Copper Leather Egg Chair with Tilt-Lock Mechanism

Well, you know that the original Arne Jacobsen egg chairs are made for them in China, and this chair obviously is, too. It's got the same look and style, and for me, this chair can only come in Orange -- I dunno, none of the other colors really work for me, but in any case, it looks great, assembles fast (3 pieces -- base, stem and chair), and works like the original. The cushion is not very soft, but since it has a zippered cover, you can always substitute a more comfortable pad for the inside.

Bought this chair and its tilt-mechanism was not working. Contacted the seller 3 times to have it replaced but to no avail.

Surprisingly comfy. After reading other reviews, I didn't expect it, but I now use this chair for reading and meditation. Perhaps because I'm short, I am most comfortable in it with a neck pillow. For taller people, the back curves toward their neck just right. Otherwise, it fits me like a glove. My husband weights right at 250 lbs and is comfy in it (without the neck pillow). Looks fantastic. GREAT VALUE. Excellent quality. I will save for a 2nd one.Particulars: it assembles in a moment, tilts and rotates, the tilt mechanism locks firmly (though the handle feels a little limp, it works well). The wool is wool, but not scratchy. It's softer than the tweed sofa I bought last year. This is a great chair, but a bit awkward to move as it is sort of heavy at the base, plus it rotates ... just not a chair you will want to move often.

Chair is unique and visually interesting. Looks way more expensive than it is.

Excellent chair for meditation and book reading. I use it as a desk chair, as I tend to sit on the edge of any chair to keep my posture while working. The chair came well packaged and all I had to do is put the base on. You should have seen me moving it to my desk area across the house from my living room 😂. Wont give 5 stars as on the left wing on the inside of the chair there are some black scratch marks. They are not super defined. But it’s dissapointing to buy a chair that I do not consider to be “cheap” and have it come with imperfections out the box. Poor quality control. This is not a chair for you if you are looking for a soft seating. The seat and the peace overall is firm but hugs very comfortably.

They should change the advertisemement to something like "faux leather vinyl" in order not to confuse the customers.I ordered 2 leather chairs based in their description that reads “Brown Leather Egg Chair with Tilt-Lock Mechanism”.I had to return both because the “leather” chair description is false. The material is not leather but rather a very cheap vinyl.Also, the tilt locking mechanism is of no use. It is there only for the looks and there is no way you can lock it.Besides one of the chairs arrived very damaged, with scratches and some cuts. The box it arrived in was totallly destroyed.

I purchased this chair via Amazon from BisonOffice. When it arrived, it was damaged right on the front with what appeared to be a tear or a puncture below the frame. I contacted the seller & they coordinated a replacement with ease. The new chair's packaging was absolutely destroyed, but comparatively, the chair itself is in perfect shape! Now, on to the chair...Is it comfortable? Relatively. I think if you're looking for something more plush like a la-z-boy, then clearly this is not the chair for you. It's a shell chair with minimal padding and a relatively thin seat cushion - but that's just how I like it. Imagine a very large racing bucket seat that feels firm but spacious. The tilt-lock functions as expected, although the spring is quite strong so if you're light weight, you may have some difficulty getting it to recline. Is it awesome looking? Absolutely. It looks incredible in our living room. I did a lot of hunting online for a replica Saarinen egg and as far as I can tell, this is the one to get if you're trying to balance quality & price.

I am perfectly pleased with this perfectly purple modern chair. This is the first piece of furniture that I have purchased online so I knew that assembly would be required, but assembly was just a one-step process that required no tools. The chair and base feel surprisingly sturdy. The fabric definitely feels like wool and is a rich purple color. The seat is comfortable and the tilt feature adds to that comfort.A few observations:Although I like the feel of the wool fabric, I suspect that it might pill under heavy use.That "new chair smell" was quite prevalent upon delivery of the chair, but even now (after quite a few weeks of being out of plastic wrap) that "new chair smell", while not offensive, is still noticeable.Since this chair has no height adjustment, it is more suitable as a lounge chair than as an executive office chair. Therefore, as a lounge chair, I would love to have an Egg ottoman in the same color by the same manufacturer. I have searched for such, but as of yet, have not found it.Overall, this is a statement piece. An eye-catching, conversation-starting statement piece. I have seen this Arne Jacobsen style chair over the years in high style magazines and my affinity for this chair has never waned. Now the object of my affection is in my bedroom....and knowing that I paid a reasonable price for it makes it that much sweeter.UPDATE: After a few months of weekly use, there is slight pilling at the arms - but this was to be expected. Please note that this minor show of wear (which is can easily be rectified) has not reduced my 5-star review.
