What We Pretend To Be

This book is a hilarious story about a man, Marv, who tries too hard to create the proper image for himself. His "profile" is more important to him than his real life. When a doppelgänger profile appears on social media, he becomes lost trying to figure out which profile will work better for him. I'm not sure if this book is a homage to Kurt Vonnegut, but the humor, starting with the book cover and the obvious nom de plume of Poffertje Von Puffelin, reminds me of Vonnugut's wit. If you are on social media, you will surely rethink what and why you post after reading this book.
