Comfortable, even after a day of walking and standing. I waited years and finally understand the hype on Birkenstocks. I've been converted!

After purchasing a pair of similar shoes, but knock-offs, I decided to go for the "real deal" and am so happy with my purchase! I've essentially worn them everyday since purchase, sometimes for up to 8 or 9 hours and they remain very, very comfortable. I wear a 9 med. and often pop up to a 10 for fitness shoes so I purchased a size 40 med. They fit perfectly. While some other reviewers have mentioned that the thong between the toes is stiff and painful, I have not experienced that. Even with some swelling after sitting at a desk all day, the Birks remain comfortable. Am definitely planning on getting at least one more pair in another color based on my experience with these so far.

I like these shoes except the very top, because it curls in ever so slightly to catch my toenails (which are not long) slightly so I am always worried if it is going to kill my pedicure but so far its just an annoyance. I hope as they break in that will not be quite so prominent. Shipping was fast and they are just as described and fit is very accurate.
