A Mutant Civil War...Another One... (Retrospective) (Review #448)
The Inhumans and Mutants being put at odds was one of the more interesting aspects of All-New, All-Different Marvel. This miniseries tries to explore themes related to this conflict but much like the event it ties into, fails on the execution. It's Mutant vs. Mutant as Magneto makes a play for the Inhuman Seer Ulysses, the character at the heart of Civil War II. The character work here is surface level only and the motivations are not strong enough to warrant the actions taken in the book. This miniseries could have, with a little more work, been really good. Uncanny X-Men writer Cullen Bunn took over for both teams with this volume and I'm surprised by how poorly the whole thing turned out, as much now as back when I first read it. I remember also when reading other reviews for this volume that readers were not a fan of the artwork from Andrea Broccardo and though I didn't notice it at the time it really is a mess. Some panels look alright but the vast majority are completely off. Though not great I still think this is a fairly relevant midway point between Death of X and Inhumans vs. X-Men.3/5

Great story albeit generic artwork
Terrific writing for a mandated mini series. Mediocre interior art, though.

civil war 2
Terrigen Mists circle the globe...but while they are the source of the Inhumans' power, they are simultaneously whittling down mutantkind's numbers and suppressing any new Mutant manifestations. Driven into a cold war, the Inhumans and Mutants know that someday, there must come a reckoning. But when a new Inhuman with the power to change the course of history emerges, there are Mutants who believe the end of their race is nigh...and are willing to do anything to prevent that end from coming.it's all about magneto who they believe is going to come for the kid and he believes that they are misusing him in profiling the future

Don't buy. Story is bland and the artwork is terrible. Storm's face looks like my 3 year old niece drew her. Did the artist even put any work into the panels? It looks rushed and unprofessional. It's like Marvel paid off some newbie on deviantart and the editor didnt bother to check it. how can this get published? Look at storm's face and tell me how one eye is going west and the other is hanging off the face.

Absolutely dreadful
Four issues of the X-Men bickering about if they should go kill Ulysses or not for something he might be coerced into doing in the future. It's terrible. It looks like they gave the art chores to a summer intern. It's so obviously meant as a setup for the Inhumans Vs. X-Men event that I've been dreading since they started this whole thing about the terrigen cloud kills mutants. It's a pretty simple solution to the problem. "Hey look, there's a cloud that will kill me! I guess I should run away until it passes by."

X Vs I Prologue?
This is not at all bad. The art is fine enough, it's even quite good in places. There is an actual story here, albeit a slim one and the cast of many act and react very much as they are consistently written elsewhere so this book does feel 'in-the-moment'.The premise of Civil War II remains, as with every other related Marvel offering, the main problem here - it is just not convincing as a plot point let alone as a catalyst for so much upheaval in the Marvel Universe. It feels forced. The involvement and the attitude of the X-Men does work well though and seeing Rachel Grey return is always welcome.this may end up being the best Civil War II book you read. The book is fleshed out with a reprint of Magneto vs the Inhumans from the Glory Days of Marvel and it is a wonderful issue from a wonderful series - not remotely required for this book to work but a nice extra that proves - they-don't-make-'em'like'that-any-more'
