First the complaints; As another reviewer mentioned, there are not enough pre-drilled holes so your drill will get a workout putting this together. Secondly, there were a few too many splintered pieces considering the price of this. The instructions also come with no words, only pictures and the chemical smell is very strong when you open the box.The positives are that it is BIG (about 5ft 2 inches) and seems like it will survive a Chicago winter. It's also pretty cute as long as you don't look too closely at the paint job.I really don't know how the ferals will take to it yet, but it makes me feel better that they will have a structure to hide in when it snows. Overall I'm glad I got it, but it could definitely stand to be improved.

So many holes for screws are not pre-drilled. Please pre-drill holes for screws. Could be sturdier.I need the entrance holes to be smaller. Please make a way to make them smaller. Large dogs, raccoons, skunks, opossums and foxes can easily get in these entrances.Don't know if it is weather proof or water resistant until it rains which it rarely does here.Overall I like it. Kittens haven't gone near it yet. It will take time.

Had a few issues with shipping but once the product arrived, it was easy to assemble with a hammer for the wood dowels and an electric screwdriver. The structure is made of Fir which is a soft wood. You need to be gentle and not over drive the screws during assembly. Total assembly for both levels was less than 30 minutes.It would be nice if the two-story kit came with 3 round escape door panels for an additional method for the cats to move between levels besides the ledges.
