South ShoreSummertime Mates Bed with 3 Drawers, Twin 39-inch, Pure White

Purchased this as my daughter's first starter bed.When finished:The bed looks great and color is very nice. Twin mattress fit perfectly and it feels sturdy. It's a GREAT starter bed.What you should know:1. The instructions that comes with this bed makes Ikea's instructions look awesome. Meaning, the instructions for this bed isn't the best and if you are building South Shore furniture for the first time, you'll spend some time figuring out what pieces are what, how you should take apart the sliding sides, etc. This was my second South Shore furniture so I was able to figure this out fairly quickly.2. Like many of Ikea furniture, this bed is made of manufactured wood; meaning, it's not a solid wood. That's why I think this is a great starter bed. It does feel solid once you lay down the wood platform and mattress.3. The alphabet labels are on every piece but they are imprinted somewhere along the edges. My dad was a huge help because he sorted out all the pieces and this really helped us.4. You can definitely build this bed alone but I STRONGLY recommend two people. One person can build and the other person can assist.5. Once you have the bed frame put together, you'll realize that it isn't very solid and it will wobble until you lay down the two large wood that serves as mattress platform.6. Get a power tool. There are 3-4 pieces that you need to set and it does not have wholes where screws can fit. That means you need to screw into the wood by hand. With a power tool, it was easy. But ONLY use power tool for this step, otherwise, you can EASILY strip out the screw heads because their screws aren't the best.Overall, it took me 90 minutes with help. Again, this was my second South Shore furniture and I believe knowing what to expect saved me at least 30-60 minutes. My first South Shore furniture, it took me 60 minutes just to figure out step 2 and 3. No joke. Their instructions are not the best.

The look nice but they came broken and there were pieces missing from the drawers my daughter cried a little but I told her we were going to figure out something hopefully. They're happy and that's what counts. 3 s piece missing for the drawers hope they can help.

Took my husband about 2ish hours. Instructions not very clear but he figured it out. Drawers slide nice. Watch the ideo about aligning the drawers and frame. That will make a difference. All together we love the bed frame!! It's exactly what we need and expected based on sizes and reviews!

As far as cheaper bed frames go, this one is decent. I put it together by myself in maybe 2 hours. One drawer has a broken piece, but it's in the back so I don't really care. All three drawers sit a bit lopsided. It does the job, but isn't fancy. Again... get what you pay for.

Very nice bed and strong, but super heavy. It was hard to pull it up for 2 people.

I ordered this bed because me and my sister were moving out into a studio apartment. Assembly wasn't hard, but did take a while because of how small the details in the instructions were. It was a little difficult to discern how the separate parts came together because of how it was organized and presented.Make sure you have a classic + screwdriver as well as an electric drill, because some holes will need to be created. Bring extra furniture pads for the corners because they only come with a few.It fits a standard twin size mattress and is very solid and not wiggly in framework (as long as you assemble it tight but not too tight).Ok, so now some cons. It came delivered with some pieces cracked and almost broken, so that shows how "ikea-esque" some of the pieces are. That being said, the entire bed is very heavy, and will require at least 2 people to carry it. The drawers knobs don't fit very tightly onto the drawers, so superglue is recommended.All in all, not a bad short-term investment. The length isn't as long as you think, so it's good for apartments or dorms.

I agree with everyone else posting that the directions are hard to understand if you're not used to putting furniture together. If you've ever put together another piece of furniture though - you should be fine. Also make sure you have someone else to help you get it in the house! The overall size of the box combined with the weight make it very difficult for even two people to carry.I knocked one star because I'm disappointed with the supports for the mattress. If anyone (including my 5 y/o nephew) sits on the middle of the bed - the two support plank pieces bend under the weight. I believe this should have one extra support running along the center of the bed lengthwise to help prevent that from happening. I'll be adding some extra support just to make sure.Otherwise everything seems good. Nothing was broken, damaged, or missing. You're getting what you pay for - it's a value bed, don't expect it to be made out of all hardwood. If you are expecting that you need a reality check.

I have bought this bed in another color as well as this one. When it first arrived it had a huge crack in the large side panel. I was able to send it back and get a replacement easily which was great. I am used to putting flat pack furniture together and found this easy. Once the box was open and I could move the bed piece by piece I was able to carry it upstairs and make it by myself. The draw runners I always get wrong no matter what I do on the first draw which I did this time. I don't think it is the instructions I think that is me. There was a slight chip on one of the peices that will not be seen so I decided not to ask for a replacement. I got  Signature Sleep Contour 8 Inch Twin Mattress  to go with this bed. I love the storage under the bed and the drawers slide well. Great for tidying up those last minute toys before bed.

Amazing… tbh i was very scared before ordering,even when I get it, because of assembly part. But when I start following the steps in manual , it was very quick and easy to assemble and come out really good. Even the storage space of drawers is also really good. I’m happy I ordered this.

Bien dans l’ensemble, mais contenait une pièce brisée. N’offre pas le changement unique de la pièce, demande le renvoie du lit complet, mais il est monté…!

Utilisé comme lit d'appoint pour les visiteurs. Le rangement est très pratique.

shipping was extremely fast, received the product in perfect condition. very impressed with the packaging. roughly 2 hours to build. there was no instructions in the box, so I had to go to their website to download the instructions. also came with a set of white knobs in the box, incase we did not want to use the maple colored ones. perfect bed for my 7 year old.we purchased the head board as well. very fast assembly. roughly30-45 minutes.debating on purchasing another one for my other daughter.

two pieces were received damaged, but we received a credit. my granddaughter LOVES her new bed. small fiberboard pieces should be protected a bit more in packaging.
