Honey Bunny's Honey Bear (Step into Reading)

My two year old loves all the funny bunny stories..she has memorized most of the book..highly recommend for any child who loves books!!

This book was just at the right reading level when my Kindergarten aged grandson received it. I had also ordered it in time for Valentine's Day and it served that purpose well too!

My daughter (1st grade) is bunny crazy and had a hard time reading in school. We've been buying books that interest her and this one was perfect. She is turning into quite the reader.

I read this to my 6 year old, and sometimes we switch and she reads it to me. These Honey Bunny books are a joy to go through, perfect for any little kid. You would never regret buying this book.

Honey Bunny's Honey Bear lives up to the fun and excitement for beginning readers. This author and illustrator are wonderful. Our grandchildren thrill to these stories.

Honey Bunny has a crush on Eddy Bear. She wears her best dress, buys him gifts, and tries to help him in Science class (too bad girls aren't good at science, I guess). He ignores her advances. But she keeps trying and trying, and while hanging around on the edge of the court watching him play basketball, it turns out that he just didn't see her.This entire book was appalling. I can't believe that this is the message we give little girls. I'm glad it was only 10 cents at a book sale. It went right in the trash after one reading. Even besides the fact that I don't think that "true love" is an appropriate concept for 5 year olds, I don't need my kindergartner getting the message that if she just moons around long enough being stupid-but-pretty, some boy will eventually fall for her. She can wait until she's old enough to read Twilight for books with that sort of message. How about a book where she plays basketball WITH him and they become friends?

As a teacher, I highly recommend these books! They are great read alouds or guided reading books with charming illustrations.
