With Hawaiian-inspired embossing and design, the OHANA KOA dark shadow thong flip flop sports a split strap design and pays homage to the OLUKAI classic flip flop. Water-resistant ‘Ohana family, lives up to its name with a split-strap design that speaks to those that dare to push the boundaries. With a coral reef lug design on the outsole for added grip and traction, if the boundary is slippery—then youâ€ll be just fine.

These hold in odors like crazy, yuck🤢
So I own 5 pairs of olakai sandals. I also own a pair of the regular o'hana sandals. I seen description that the koa were made with a renewable resource foot bed and more water proof. Well I jumped and purchased these. Let me just tell you.. 2 weeks into it and they smell disgusting, Like gross!!! They soak in water and odors more than other olakai. It's like the footbed absorbs water and take forever to dry. Stick with the regular ohana and ditch these. Yuck!!!!

World's okayest sandals
Pros:Excellent rubber outsolesInoffensive stylingReasonably comfortableCons:Bigger than expectedScratchy strapsPriceHigher arches neededInsole material should not be absorbentSummary:I buy sandals frequently and wear them most of the year. These are fairly comfortable and the traction is superb, but they could be easily improved. Straps are scratchy (wear them when wet to break in and they'll soften .. but then they may not fit as snug) The insoles are squishy like sponges when wet, the sizing too large (both length and loose straps), and the arches are okay but not as high as expected. At this time I don't think I'd be a repeat buyer, but they'd be pretty good with a few simple changes.Dubious advice:Order your size and a size smaller and return the other. For the record I ordered multiple Olukai sandals in different styles and I could not tell any difference in them other than styling.

Awful. Such a miss from a company I like.
I have been wearing the Ohana sandals for 6 to 7 years. When my current pair of Ohanas were showing wear I decided to look to see if and upgrade was available and saw the Ohana Koa. I read the reviews from others and thought the negative reviews were just outliers. Nope. The first pair was too small length wise. I've had 5 or 6 pairs so the size was known to me...or should have been. The toe strap is abrasive and miserable to wear. The top strap chafes. This sandal is a complete miss and Olukai needs to pull it and go back to the drawing board.

Really? This is what $70 buys?
I’m sorry, but I expected much more than what I received.I expected a pair of sandals that looked nice, and that would last for a while. But mostly, I just wanted a comfortable pair of flip flops.Living in Florida, I wear sandals more than anything else, and usually buy a new pair each year. Typically I’ve went with Reef, and have been very satisfied. After sticking to one brand of flip flops for several years, I decided to try other options. Based on their price point, I assumed that Olukai would be a nice alternative, but that was a huge mistake.I know that it sometimes takes a little while for new sandals to adjust to your feet, and vice versa. What I didn’t expect was to get blisters on the under sides of my feet from less than 30 minutes of wear!In all honesty, the appearance is nice, the arch support is better than expected, and for all I know, the material is durable… But the fit leaves something to be desired.I am so glad that I saved the box that the sandals came in, because I will likely never give Olukai another shot. Their sandals are not made for my feet, which I have never experienced before. When it comes to sandals, nothing really matters more than comfort… And as far as these sandals go, I wouldn’t even pay $10 for them.

Remarkable fit, comfort, arch...everything.
I wear sandals about half the year. I have always bought Reef but was interested in improving fit and adding add'l arch support. I have wide feet. These fit spot on. What's more, the arch is perfectly positioned, remarkably comfortable, and it has maintained support after a month of continuous wear, including on a two week beach vacation. I am delighted. I will look for future Olukai sandals that are 1) true to size, 2) wide width and 3) standard to high arch support. Check the Olukai.com site for these fit details even if you purchase them from Amazon.

Fell apart at 6 months
Pretty disappointed in these. Size and arch were ok but the strap on one sandal was too tight across the top of my foot causing a sore/blister. Wore them regularly for six months in and out of water and at the beach or boating. They came apart at the six month mark (sole separated from the top part). Had to throw them away. Not good I couldn’t even get a year out of them considering they cost a fortune. I never mind paying for something that will last, but I’ve had less expensive flip flops that have lasted a couple years 🤷🏻♂️.

Pricey but a good product.
I have an extremely wide foot, so I needed to order up in size. If you have a normal width foot, these should run true to size. They have about as much arch support as you would expect from flip flops. Well-made and very comfortable, I only gave 4 stars because I've only had them a week. If they last as well as my last pair (which was a different brand), they will be well worth the price.

Very nice shoe but offers no support
I would love to say this are the most comfortable shoes, but I can't. I would not buy these if you plan on wearing them for extended periods. They have zero heel support. Everyone in my family has bought a pair and all of us have issues with our heels after wearing them. They really need to step up the product for the price. Reefs are the same price but offer much better support

A must have
I from a young age have worn Flip-flops, sandals, slaps, thongs yes there are many names used but I have always been on the beach or around as an instructor in many different watersports and activities.I consider myself a bit of an expert when it comes to assessing the quality of sandals as I wear them pretty much 24 seven only coming off in the frost and the snow lolThese flip-flops were the most expensive I have ever paid and kind of doubted whether they were worth the money, I can honestly say they are worth every penny as up to now I have worn them every day I have used them abroad on the beach in and out of water and here in the UK and can only say they are extremely comfortable easy to walk and react really well with water and seem to be made of a very high quality which explains their price.Never thought I would pay this for a pair of flip-flops but I would most definitely buy again and from now on I think these will be the only ones I will be wearing after wearing hundreds of different types over the years, mine have had heavy use from day one and hours standing up really well and with a years guarantee that comes with the sandals I have to say my personal view is spend the money you will reap the rewards and have a pair of sandals that become Personal and a pair that you will love. This is a 100% genuine review of a sandal/flip-flop/slaps/thongs iv been trying to fined all my life and I’m now 55 So lots of years Behind wearing Flip-flops.Buy them you won’t regret it.Cheers everyone Let your feet feel free

Not for me
There were no half sizes, so I had to go up to the next whole size. They were a poor fit. I also found them stiff, not flexible enough.

A little pricey but good quality product
The size fits as expected. Good quality. It feels solid and stable. My only complaint is that it is pricey.
