Great Amp - Audiosavings (seller) was terrible
The media could not be loaded. Product review 5*Seller Review 0*I purchased this amp from Audiosavings knowing it was an open box as it was labeled as such "(AN OPEN BOX ITEM (CUSTOMER RETURN IN 100 % PERFECT CONDITION)". pull it out of the box and the one mounting bracket was bent, (i could've lived with this) then i go to plug it in and it immediately starts smoking and goes into protect mode, mind you i didn't have anything hooked up to it at this point, simply plugged it in. Obviously this was blown up, used and abused so i was irritated and returned hoping to just get a replacement that wasn't broken. Audiosavings was extremely rude and had no interest to work with me on a replacement whether it were open box or new.... I did at least receive my refund however but i gave up on them and purchased from another company and have loved the overall amp performance just took a while to get there.

Great amp for subwoofers
I’m running 4x 400w peak 4ohm subs on this (two in series per channel) with an external DSP. Works great, shakes the floor, no complaints.

Sound is good, Build Quality Very Bad.
It's got the power, clear and clean. However the build quality is just not there. First we had to modify the rack ears because they did not match the hole separation on the rack. It wasn't the rack because the good quality devices matched just fine. The one of the XLR input doesn't release the cable when the tab is pressed. Took allot of fiddling to get it out again. If I wasn't using it in a rack where I never need to unplug them I would have returned it.Now I am finding the option switches on the back for cross over and stereo/bridging will change position way too easy. Gonna have to tape them so they don't get knocked.Would recommend to spend $50 more and get something else. We will be replacing this as soon as we can, maybe keep it as an emergency backup.

Greater Power Amp (D14)
Earlier I reviewed the D12 amp which uses Class D power just like this one however this review is for the D14. This amp is obviously more powerful but to me it sounds cleaner. I tested it with the same 4 subs I tested the D12 with and it thumped way better. Tighter cleaner bass and much lower lows without clipping. I also tested it with the same pair of full range passive speakers and the sound is still very clear. Still runs cooler than the regular RPA model and it's much lighter than the RPA but heavier than the D12. According to the specs, it puts out 600W RMS more than the D12 but it sounds like more than that to me. If you're in the market for purchasing these, I would choose the D14 over the D12. I'm probably going to get another D14 and repurpose the D12. I really like the sound of the D14.

Item caught fire.
The media could not be loaded. Not much to say but it caught fire. It was scary. I was worried. Not fun at all.
