Jason Cooling Minerals & Tea Tree Muscle Pain Therapy, 4 Ounce

This stuff is awesome! I will never be without. I am a massage therapist and I get quite a workout performing my job. In place of getting massage myself, I turn to my jar of Jason Tea Tree Oil Gel. I soak in a steamy bath first then rub my shoulders and neck with this gel and then don my sleep shirt (so the gel will not rub off on to my sheets) and then settle in. The heat kicks in within a few minutes and is extremely therapeutic and relaxing. This gel is not too greasy and a little goes a very long way. I purchase one 4 ounce jar every 6 months - which makes it very cost affective as well. I recommend this product to my clients (and friends and family) all the time to use between their sessions with me and I have yet to hear anything back other than rave reviews and many 'thank you's'. This is my favorite at home remedy for sore, tired and achy muscles and my nightstand drawer will always have a jar of my 'Wonder Mud'!

I use this pain cream after my physical therapy sessions. It does have a strong minty smell but I find it to be pleasant. It is a more thick type of cream reminds me of vic's vapor rub. It is somewhat greasy but if you apply it right before going to sleep it is absorbed by morning. I discovered if I still have some on my hand and I need to pick something up it's better to wipe my hands dry with a paper towel or a cloth hand towel first then washing them instead of trying to wash it off first. This is product I buy monthly. Will continue to purchase.

THis seems to relieve the pain of my mild arthritis in my hand. I can't comment on sever condition. Aroma is rather stronb but maybe that is a good thing, not unpleasant. Does not absosrb away into the skin readily,this could be welcome or annoying depending on your needs.

Absolutely LOVE this stuff! It is not as quick of extreme of healing as other muscle cooling things might be...but it also is not putting a million unknown chemicals into my body! It is still, however, very soothing and the smell is so good - like wintergreen. I have bought multiple as gifts for my friends after I purchased mine - and they all love it! As a 20-something runner - this stuff is amazing for when my shins and etc begin to hurt.

The smell is very nice, I use it on my clients and they always remark about the nice smell. It is uplifting for sure. But, I can't say that it does anything for pain other than with a placebo effect. I have one client about 80 years old who swears it helps her pain. It could just be lifting her mood because it has an aromatherapy effect. I use it on everyone's neck more for the aroma and the consistency is good for massaging skin in that area. It is an oily base though, you wouldn't want it on large areas. I don't find it all that cooling either. It does have aromatherapy benefits without a doubt and that indeed can reduce pain for people.

Why has Jason discontinued this? For 20 years I have used this product to cure everything from contact dermatitis to acne, athletes foot and so on. I called the company and they said simply they were not making it anymore. What the hell! I'm stocking up while it is still available. Apparently, Jason is more interested in adding to its product line of face creams than actually continuing to produce a product that actually works on some real health issues. If I sound pissed off it's because I am. Such a shame.

Original Review, 2 stars: It's ok. It works and smells similar to Ben-Gay. I wanted to try this product due to the organic ingredients. Unfortunately, it feels greasy like petroleum jelly and that greasy substance remains on your skin after using it. Therefore, I won't be purchasing it again.Update, 12/16/13, 1 star: After a few months, the contents became chunky...there were hardened areas of cream. I tried applying the cream, but the "balls" in the cream didn't dissolve immediately. So, unfortunately, I had to throw the product away.

The smell of this stuff is amazing, however the "cooling" sensation doesn't last very long. It's mostly noticeable while applying, but quickly wears off, and doesn't feel like it's working as well as other brands I've tried. I do like the texture of this product, and my skin feels very soft after use though. Will continue to use, but more as a moisturizer, and not for muscle pain.
