Using this is way easier than sanding the pen you're making. Its way easier to get a perfectly square pen with this tool.

I have used these in my drill press for trimming pen blanks. This one isn't very sharp.

All in all I’m pretty happy with it. There’s one spot on the cutter head that could be a little more well machined and sharper; it’s 5 stars “For the price”. It’s not top of the line but works pretty well

The local woodworking store was selling something similar for twice the price. I decided to check this out and when it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. I found the right barrel boring bit and attached the flat top trimmer easily. It resulted in the perfect fit for my pen blank. 10/10 would recommend

I bought this knowing that because of its price point it wasn't going to be top of the line, but I wasn't expecting it to be dull. The reamers worked fine, but the end trimmer was flat. Luckily I have the tools needed to sharpen it, so now it will actually cut wood. I was trying to cut padauk and maple, neither of which should have been that hard to trim.I would spend the money and buy one of the higher quality ones.

Perfect for pen turning, should have got one long time ago.
