I love these shoes!
I live in Portland, Oregon and there's a big Keen retail store in my neighborhood. I tried on some shoes in the store and I really liked them, but I couldn't justify paying the high price. I was happy to see this shoe priced much lower, although I can see that it's an older version that doesn't have the same cushy insole. The shoe is still very comfortable and fits well. I usually wear a size 9 regular width in mens shoes like Vans and Adidas. I ordered the size 8.5 since boots usually seem to run big. I was able to lace these shoes just right, and I can slip them on and off without untying them, and they provide the right fit for hiking and trail running. I don't get any blisters and I don't feel any soreness, even after running 3 miles downhill. The shoe is very rugged and waterproof, and I don't feel any hesitation on the local trails. They are lightweight enough that I can jog on the street in them, although I have to admit that they are much heavier than running shoes and it is noticeable. But if you want to run and hike on the trails (I like to do intervals), these are really perfect. It definitely feels more like a boot than a shoe, and it performs like one on the trails, but it's comfortable like a shoe, and a bit lighter than a full boot. I am looking forward to many many miles with these.

I bought these shoes for my husband. He loves this brand. The shoes are comfortable. My husband is on his feet a lot they don't hurt. They water proof he out side in the snow chase down goats. They have great Tread you don't have worry about failing. These shoe have held up to framers life. They still look good as the day I bought them. I would Recommend these shoe. Would buy this brand shoe every time.

Excellent quality. Water proof after 1 year of use
These are worth the cost. They are water proof in a few inches of water. I have never got my feet wet in these shoes/boots (refer to them as shoes/boots because the style looks half way in between shoes and boots, they function more as hiking boots but have a shoe look to them in my opinion). Have worn them every day and they are still holding up strong. Will likely last at least two years. I walk a lot and probably put more wear on shoes than the average person. There's still a lot of tread left on the bottom. Very impressed w the quality and dryness. The best hiking boots/shoes I have ever owned. My size varies from brand to brand, some brands i'm size 12 1/2 and some brands I'm size 12. For these 12 was a good fit.

100 dollar a pair ripoff
I barely wear these shoes There is no wear on my tread, whatsoever , but the tread started falling off on the bottom of the right shoe. I’ve only had them for a little over three months. This is the second $100 dollar pair of shoes I bought that are not worth the money I paid for them. I would give zero stars, but I had to pick one, not at all durable. Ive bought $40 a pairs of shoes that last way longer than these

Great Fitting and very comfortable
Very good fit and comfortable, I have been wearing them for a couple of weeks now. Im walking around 10 to 12 hours a day on hard floors. I also worn them out in the snow and rain last week and my feet stayed dry.

Very Disappointing
First Pair: Bison/Golden BrownI was really ready to return these after the first couple of walks.I don't hike or walk trails, I walk the streets in my neighborhood. The lugs on the bottom of the sole are downright painful when you're walking on a hard, flat surface.I pulled the Keen inserts and replaced them with some Power Steps and the problem was solved.Next problem was the collar that rides on the top of the shoe. It was useless (twisting an ankle in not likely) and it was rubbing painfully on the top of my ankles. When I complained about it to my wife, she asked why I didn't just pull the laces out the top eyelets so that the collar would fall away - once again proving that I married someone much wiser than I.The last change I made was replacing the laces with "Lock Laces". The fit of the shoe holds throughout the entire step process and keeps a good, firm grip on my entire foot.Excellent walking shoe and I just ordered the "Targhee" version for use as my alternate day shoe.09 March 24 update. The Targhee was a completely different shoe - fit, feel, and sizing. It was back in the box for UPS in five minutes. So then I bought the "Black/Magnet" version of THIS shoe.Again a completely different shoe. MUCH wider than the first one I bought, very uncomfortable for walking, and really frustrating that this company can't put out the same shoe in different colors without changing the fit.I added a plain foam insert under my Power Steps and they are now good enough for short walks.I'm at the point of returning these also but will wait a few more days.Keen has always been a great shoe company. Very disappointed with the product.Update 03/26/24Amazon sent me a replacement "Black/Magnet" and the fit is quite good. Not as good as the Bison/Golden Brown version of the "Same Shoe", but acceptable.I will not be buying any kind of footwear on-line again.

Comfortable and waterproof
Bought these for a 2 week trip to Ireland - wanted something lighter than my full Keen hiking boots. I have a wide foot and the toebox gave me good room. Comfortable with zero break-in time. Walked 6-9 miles per day, city and countryside, without any hotspots or issues. Kept the water out during the expected rain and pretty easy to clean mud off of at the end of the day. Still look new - can’t speak to long term durability but so far has been great.

Where have you been all my life?
These are great. My feet hurt like hell and with these, it's like I had my feet replaced temporarily. 15/10

Not great quality
I usually take an 8.5 Keen shoe so was surprised when the initial pair I received in an 8.5 were a bit small. I reordered a 9 and they were perfect. The shoe is very comfortable in both width and length and the quality is good too. The grip on wet rock is good and so far they haven’t leaked. Looking forward to doing a long walk in them to really test them.I've had these for 2 years now and walked 150 miles in them. The rubber 'bellows' in front of the laces has now split on both shoes and whilst the waterproof liner initially keeps your feet dry after a while your feet get wet. I have looked after these shoes after every walk so was disappointed when they split especially as the split when I was in the middle of a five day trek.Usually Keen shoes are robust however this rubber part is a gimmick that does not work. I would avoid these at all costs!
