Ultimate Kitchen Upright Vacuum Sealer with Automatic Seal Technology, Starter Kit Includes Roll of Bags

I've tried out several different vacuum sealers in the last couple of years. Out of all of them this one has the most powerful motor and works the best overall. Just as it says in the description, it extends the lifespan of foods. It's been great for sealing up leftover ingredients for future meals. Very pleased with this purchase and I recommend it.

Finally got to use this. And I definitely like it better than the one I used to have. But like all these Food Savers it is difficult to close them. It takes a lot of force to push down the handles. Also like with every other one of these I've seen each handle is independent and has to be pushed down at the same time as the other. My last one broke because I was only able to push down one side not realizing the other one did not connect. Too much pressure was on it so it broke one handle. Really wish they would make one that's easy to close. Otherwise I really like this one a lot it's nice that it has several settings including one that does not suck out the fluid from the bags. Keeping the unit clean. It also has a setting for foods like chips and cereals. It won't crush them just sucks out enough air to keep them fresh.

We got this to replace a very old FoodSaver vacuum sealer. This one works, mostly. Unfortunately, unlike the FoodSaver, it doesn't appear to be able to tell if it has actually pulled all the air out of the bag before it seals the bag. The FoodSaver had a sensor that would give an error if it was not able to pull the air out within a certain amount of time. This one just goes and seals the bag automatically. Which means you end up with a sealed bag with lots of air in it...Otherwise, when it works properly it works very well. We haven't done a lot of sealing with it yet, but I'll update when we have!

UPDATE: They sent me a new one free of charge within a week. Still good so far!UPDATE: I've now had it one day over a year. It worked great up until this point, but now while the vacuum is still working great, it isn't sealing good. Like the the sealer isn't getting hot enough, fast enough to hold the vacuum. I have contacted the manufacturer so hopefully they will send out a replacement. I feel like I have junk now. :(Previous review.I did a lot of research on vacuum sealers before I purchased because I really didn't want to go with the "name brand" one. I do A LOT of freezer cooking as I want to make sure I serve a healthy meal even when life gets busy. With two deep freezers full of food, I wanted a better way to store the meals I make and the raw foods I buy in bulk.I'm very glad I went with this model and I liked the longer warranty this model had compared to other brands. It's lightweight without being flimsy and I love that it isn't bulky, flat and wide like the other brands. It doesn't take up a lot of counter space when I'm vacuum sealing a lot that week and it doesn't take up a lot of room in my lower cabinets when I'm not. The FoodVacBags work wonderfully with this machine and I also use the FoodSaver Mason Jar attachment with it to seal dry goods in the pantry and weekly food prep jars in the refrigerator. Works perfectly. Thanks so much for a great machine at a great price!

Overall, it's a great deal. The only reason I give it 4 rather than 5 stars is that the lockdown (last step before sealing) causes my wife problems - she's short and light, and it takes some real work to get the tool locked into place. Otherwise, it's great.

Save your money. JUNK. After 2 months one handle became so hard to push down I had to hit it with a hammer. Took it apart, not fixable.

Really love this vacuum sealer compared to my other one. Very quiet, does a great job with moist food.

Very happy with vacuum sealer. It doesn't take up much counter space. It is, however, rather difficult to press both side locks down at the same time, especially when the machine is at counter height.
