The description says bacon is cooked for 16 hours.IT IS NOT COOKED!!! And.. You end up paying $8.00 per lb. even if they refund shipping. It is tough ,the rind is left on it, buy Oscar Meyer , it's easier to chew and the flavor is just as good and save a few $$ per pound !

We live about an hour from this business in Claremont. New Hampshire. Recently they expanded from a relatively small facility to a new and larger building in an industrial park in the same town. The bacon is by far the best bacon I've ever tasted. Several times a year we go and buy a case (12-pounds) of bacon, some sausage, and if they are available smoked ham steaks. Their products are generally available in food coops and specialty markets in northern New England and obviously that saves the price of shipping. Nevertheless this sampler of four different bacon varieties makes a wonderful gift. As a an occasional treat it is absolutely worth it. Try some cooked briefly on your barbecue.
