Q: Are these boots actually 10 inch with a steel shank? Georgia's web site doesnt show a 12 inch without steel shank.

The boot is 12 inches from bottom of the sole to top of the pull up loop. Don't really know answer about steel shank, all I can say is if you get a pair that fits, you will be happy.

These are the most comfortable boots for me, however, the sizing is terrible. I suggest you find a store where you can try them on. I’ve worn these for 20 years, and would never trust ordering them.

Measuring the three year old pair I have on my feet right now, from the sole to the top of the boot strap is about 11 1/2”. From the welt to the top of the boot strap is about 10”. I was confused by the same description because the older pairs I had all bought in a brick and mortar store and they were all 10” (welt to top of boot strap). I ordered anyway and the “online” pair were the same as I had always bought in a store. Hope this helps.

YES IT IS. My husband returned them because the soul is so thick it does not bend when you walk.
