if you cut the garlic into smallish pieces it does a good job but there's always someone else in my kitchen who will put whole cloves in there which this plastic crusher cannot handle. i have already cracked two of these =( they are also very hard to clean. you basically need to wait till the garlic stuck inside dries enough that you can just crumble it off. Having said that, there's still something i like about this crusher and personally i enjoy using it.

The garlic crusher works well, although a little difficult at times to turn the screw as it doesn't have enough leverage.

Broke the first time i used it
