A good mix
I bought this collection because I wanted to read Patricia Briggs' story about Asil's date, which was fabulous! I'm sure that I'm not alone in wishing that she'd write about the others. Asil is one of my favorite characters and I absolutely love reading about him, especially in the present day. I'm glad that it was the last story in the book though, because otherwise I might have skipped the others and that would have been a shame. There are some super, awesome stories in this collection! Some of the stories made me laugh and some of them made me cry. All of them were worthwhile reading!

Quick, fun and exciting
I am bad, the only reason I purchased this was for the Patricia Briggs story Unappreciated Gifts. I may go back and read the others, but I doubt it. In this story, Asil is dared to go on a bunch of blind dates because the pack thinks he is lonely and bored. Asil doesn’t say no to the challenge. The first date is not what he is expecting, but it Asil doesn’t want to lose the bet. So when he discovers a Vampire in the wrong place, it’s up to Asil to save the day. I was originally going to listen to this in audiobook format, but after listening to the sample, I just couldn’t. The narrator didn’t pronounce Asil’s name correctly, and that was going to annoy me. Therefore, I read it. The story is quick, fun, and exciting. I love Asil and enjoy anytime he is featured. He is such a great character; he could hold his own series. At least I think he could. I wish that we got to see the rest of the dates and the story was completed. What we got was a little short story. It was still enjoyable but a bit disappointing. I am rating this on based only on Unappreciated Gifts 4 Boundless stars.

Interesting Anthology
I purchased this book primarily for Patricia Briggs' offering ( left me laughing), but was pleased to also find a story from The Secret World Chronicles (delightful), and from Mike Resnick, who is always a treat. I would say that The Atmosphere for Miracles by David Boop was a stand-out for authors unfamiliar to me.

It would be great if Patricia Briggs wrote out all the "dates"
I understand good authors trying to introduce other authors in anthologies but it is not working. I am tired of good authors combining their work with painful work from others. I wish good authors would just sell their short stories seperatley. The briggs story was great as was the Lackey One. The rest.... uhhh. One was unreadable, three had not ending, only one interested me slightly but when I looked up the author he had one book nothing like this sample and another that was a sequel to a different author. No thank you.

Hysterical
I admit that I bought this book solely because I wanted to read "unappreciated gifts" by Patricia Briggs. I absolutely loved that story as I have read other books by Ms. Briggs that include Asil the werewolf. This story was so much fun! I look forward to reading all of the stories in this collection in hopes that I will enjoy them just as much!

Interesting book
I bought this book because Patricia Briggs is one of the authors and one of the characters is from the Mercy Thompson series. I loved the short story about Asil's planned dates. I hope Ms. Briggs writes more stories about Asil! If the book only had this story I'd rate the book 5 stars, but that's not the case. The remaining stories...well some I liked & others were not my preferred genre; thus the 4 stars.

How did I miss this?
short-stories, sci-fi-fantasy, supernaturalI came for Patricia Briggs and Mike Resnick and was delighted with what I read! I can't say much more because they are all short stories and it would get nuts. Just come for the authors you know, be delighted, and find more authors to enjoy!

Wonderful anthology
In most anthologies, you get one or two really good stories, a few mediocre, some really bad. There was only one story in this anthology I didn't finish. The rest were above average to excellent. For me, the hands down winner was Briggs' story, one I hope she finishes, since I haven't laughed that hard in years. I MUST hear about the next four dates. Lackey' s story actually encouraged me to buy the first book in the series. Overall, this one is worth it.

So so, only worth it for the Patricia Briggs story
I bought this for the Patricia Briggs' story - which is fine, but the others are not memorable. Many involve children and Santa in some form or other, which may have been the brief for the book, altho' the Biggs story doesn't. If you're a die hard Briggs fan then this is worth the pennies, but I wouldn't recommend it otherwise.
