Ah, Music!

An excellent book especially for the price. A great book to have in your collection for when you are teaching music to your children. I recommend buying.

Ah, Music! is a charming, inspiring and smart picture books for people of all ages. It makes a strong case for the importance of music of all kinds in our lives. If my children were younger, I'd be reading this with them, but even as an older adult I found much to enjoy in this book. It's rapidly becoming a favorite gift for friends and relatives with children.

Really great book for introducing music and theory to young children. I will be using this in homeschooling my 5 yr-old.

I love this book! Typical Aliki, the illustrations are exquisite. The content is detailed and accurate, enjoyable for musicians and non-musicians alike. The entire book spreads positive thoughts and the excitement of making and listening to good quality music.

I purchased this for my pre-school music class and it was much too advanced for them. Lots of text and small print make it more suitable as a research material for probably fifth grade and older. I gave it to the music department at school.

Great starting point for the young ones. Five year olds are a little slow but seem to be interested in the music book.

Very fun and educational book about instruments, different genres, and the history of music.

I have a huge collection of books about music for kids from 0 to 10 years old. I must say this one is a real gem. The illustrations are lovely and very detailed, the information easy to remember and the amount of "theory" just enough to spark curiosity without being overwhelming. I am ordering more copies for my friends' kids! BTW my child is 2 years old and loves the book, so I assume it will be of interest to kids between 2 and as old as 8 (the cover says recommended for ages 4-8).
