Truly waterproof, good quality fairly priced!
I regularly go at sea and use this bag, it's been through huge waves and days of rain and not a drop of water comes through. Resistant materials, the straps are adjustable and padded so it stays confortable all day.More interior pockets or compartments would have been great, but the size is perfect to bring essentials for a couple of days out.

Thinking about this bag? Just get it!
I’ve had this bag since September 2019. It’s honestly indestructible if you take proper care of it. It’s held up quite nicely as I use it everyday. In Alaska, my working location is 75% rain. It does it’s job. I can carry anything I want inside and what’s surprising is I can fit all my groceries inside (60+ lbs). It’s fallen into the copper river and nothing got wet. I’ll walk two miles + to and from the grocery to home and I cannot ask for a better bag. I even use this one over my Osprey. Because it’s comfy and keeps everything safe. This is so worth it! Durability. Appearance. I get compliments all the time. Great bag.Wish it was wider slightly and with just one more pocket of a bigger size on the inside. Other than that I’ll be buying this same one should anything happen to my current one.

Functionally sound with useful features. Slight defect in craftsmanship.
I bought the FE Active Waterproof Backpack exclusively for The Narrows hike at Zion National Park. It survived the 5 hours in and the 5 hours back, and there were some points where I was submerged in water up to my shoulders. We even clipped it to our tube the next day as we floated down the Virgin River. I never found a drop of water inside. As long as you follow the simple instructions that are included, you're golden. Golden dry.I like the fact that its IPX8-rated, that gave me confidence when buying. The padded shoulder straps and back support are comfortable, there's plenty of room with 30L of storage and the carrying handle and two side mesh net pockets were very useful.More compartments on the inside would have been great, but that's not a complaint - more of a suggestion. My only real complaint is that the threading on the underside of the backpack started to come undone and shriveled up. If I could get a replacement, that would be great.

Perfect Wet/Dry Backpack at a Great Cost!
Just got my FE Active bag and I'm stoked! Kinda stumbled on it through the Amazon wormhole, and glad I did... It's one of those things I always needed, but never knew existed. I've looked at some wet/dry surf backpacks in the past, but at over $100, I passed. This backpack is waaaaay cheaper and incredible well made on first inspection. I am an avid waterman and also like to fish from time to time on my buddy's small boat. This bag will be a lifesaver for both. If you're familiar with SoCal surf spots, I surf Trestles...which entails a long walk to the beach. The last thing I want to do after a long surf session is make the long trek back to my car in wet wetsuit. With my new favorite bag, I can change out of my wetsuit, dump it in the bag and have a more enjoyable stroll up. The bag is large enough to easily hold my soggy, sandy wetsuit, a large towel, and probably several small marsupials if I so happened to need to save a family of opossums. There are handy water bottle pockets on both sides, and the backpack is well padded for long walks. There is also a convenient top handle. I plan to pack my lunch, keys, and gear in the bag as well when I go fishing. My buddy's boat is pretty small (we call it a panga) so when the waters get rough, everything gets wet and salty...

had this bag for 6 years
awesome bag. literally the only review I've ever done on amazon. Had it for 6 years, 5 years in grad school. Took it on hikes, canoe trips, used it daily. Still holding strong. BIS bag for the price

Perfect for boat life!!!!
I work on boats a lot in a saltwater environment so having a durable backpack that is actually waterproof is really important to me. This backpack has filled every expectation. It is the perfect size. Material is durable and sturdy. And best part, it is actually waterproof. I (indirectly) tested it when my bag fell of the dock and landed in the water. Good news, bag floated and all my stuff inside was dry. All was need was to wipe the salt water off the outside. If you work on boats or just spend a lot of time around the water, I highly recommend this bag. I have had it for FOUR YEARS and it shows little wear and tear with minimal degradation in material quality. Highly recommended.

Functions as Promised but Looks Cheap
I’m giving this 5 stars because it checks all the boxes: it’s 100% waterproof, lightweight, cheap, and very spacious (easily fits laptop, lunchbox, & change of clothes for work). As a warning the material looks cheap so it’s not aesthetically pleasing. It closes by rolling so you also need to take it off to open it - no help from your friends here. Lastly there are minimal pockets so it’s hard to compartmentalize. If none of that bothers you then this bag is a trusty, spacious workhorse

Cost efficient and effective with very minor flaws.
I am a wilderness guide in Alaska and have used this bag for about a year of work and play. The bottom line: it keeps your stuff dry and it's not nearly as expensive as similar products on the market, so you're certainly getting your value worth. Conversely, if you put wet things into this bag, it will keep them wet.I'm holding off on giving this bag 5 stars for a few reasons though. The waterproof material has begun to fray in various places which makes me believe that it might not last me more than another year or so. One of the plastic adjusters for the drawstring water bottle pouches broke off within the first month of owning this bag. Also, the waist strap just isn't large enough to go around anybody of reasonable size, because I'm not a huge dude, and it doesn't make it all the way around me without considerable constriction. Regardless, this is likely the best value bag on the market, because you're going to see three digits for prices for anything from Sea to Summit/Marmot/North Face/Arcteryx or anything like that.
