Hackney from Stamford Hill to Shoreditch (Images of England)

This was another great book, but I wish there were more photos of streets that no longer exist in Hackney such as Waterloo Terrace, Digby Walk & more places on Emma Street & Treadway Street/Ave. There just isn’t ANY photos out there of those places that I know about because my nan grew up there. The Bethnal Green book was PACKED with photos, but there were pages added with old ads to “fill out” the book more it seemed.

Having been an East Londoner for all of my youth and the first few years of my marriage, I think I can safely say that this is one of the best books, on East London I have purchased. Great photographs and narrative.With varied subjects and very good photographs.

He enjoyed looking at the photos of areas he grew up around from various points in time.

Great pictures and easy reading. Exactly as advertised.

Really interesting good quality product. My husband enjoyed reading it so much that we bought a 2nd copy as a gift
