My First Craft Book: 25 easy and fun projects for children aged 7–11 years old Paperback – March 10, 2011

Bought this book for my 9 year old granddaughter. She has enjoyed it very much. Instructions are very clear. She has made projects and has a list of supplies she needs for the next project.

I got it for my grand niece. I plan to make some of the crafts with her.

I was seeking a craft book with ideas for my three year old and her friends during playdates. So seeing a book that reads " My FIRST craft book" I assumed it would be full of great crafts for preschool aged kids. Instead, it's a craft book for 7-11 year olds and the crafts are not really useful or cute anyway. If I am going to go to the trouble of having a craft playdate for 3 year olds I want the items they make to be useful and fun after they make them. I have had these kids make bird houses (for their yards), Doll house furniture, plant mini gardens and watched them grow, and even painted Christmas ornaments. This book is filled with cheap and cheesy paper craft ideas that will quickly be thrown out in the trash. Sad. I need to write my own book of preschool crafts!

Lovely book with ideas for children. I didn't realise that it was for 7-11yrs and purchased for a 6yr old. There are not many project that she will be able to do independently which is fine for her as her mother will help, but if purchased expecting a child can do all the projects on their own I'd wait until they are 9 or 10

I love crafts and this book is great, I will add this book to my library and will use it the next time I teach a craft.

I bought this for my 11 year old granddaughter. I hoped it would encourage her to try various crafts. I thought it was very clear and easy to do projects, but I have not seen anything yet!

it is a nice book and it shows some really good projects but i think it is not as good for boys as it is for girls.
