Soggy cashews
After a disappointing soggy purchase of raw cashews from “Spicy World”, I now buy 5 pounds bags of raw cashews from “We Got Nuts” and they are always crisp, crunchy, large, raw whole cashews. I tried this“ Sincerely Nuts” brand because they were 6 dollars cheaper but now I wish I hadn’t. They are so soggy and not very big, lots of small ones and pieces mixed in. Not happy with this purchase, I would rather spend the extra 6 bucks to get fresh crunchy cashews. I don’t recommend these, buy from “We Got Nuts”, they are much better quality and worth the extra money.

A great deal on whole cashews
I've ordered these before, and the quality is consistently good. We will keep ordering them if they stay near this price point, because they are a great value.Update: I have re-ordered these a number of times, but about a week ago, another vendor was cheaper, even with shipping included, so I tried them.I think the confusion for many lies in the fact that if you order the same item (5 lbs of cashews) from another vendor, you aren't actually getting 'Sincerely Nuts' brand cashews. They are all just lumped together on the same page, because they are all bulk cashews. I ordered mine from 'Food to Live', because it was cheaper, even with additional shipping, than buying Sincerely Nuts through Amazon Prime.I've ordered the 'Sincerely Nuts' brand several times, and the whole family eats them raw. They tend to be eaten before I can cook with them much. They come packaged in a oversized, heavy plastic bag with a heavy duty ziploc-style seal, and they are very fresh. The 'Food to Live' brand that I just ordered comes in a smaller bag that's not recloseable, and they have a slightly off odor. They have a faint, unusual flavor, too, like Mexican Oregano or asafetida. That may not sound so bad, but it has a little bite, and it's just odd enough to keep drawing your attention to it, instead of the cashews. In all fairness, they are fresh, with 'Sincerely Nuts' edging them out slightly, but both are more than acceptable. I'm sensitive to unusual flavors and smells. My kids and wife didn't seem to notice. The one place where 'Food to Live' shines is in the shipping. Sincerely Nuts bags get thrown in with the rest of your order by Amazon. It can be a bit haphazard, and you'll probably wind up with some breakage. 'Food to Live' rolls their bags in a padded mailer (the kind that has a layer of small bubble wrap on both sides), then tape it securely shut. This really makes it hard to damage the cashews, and the package had the least breakage of any brand that I've purchased.Food to Live, I'd rate a 4. Sincerely Nuts, I'd rate a 5.

good value for money spent
cashews were a little soft for me, but roasted in oven to my liking. Price was good and arrived on time.

Saved Money, but be prepared to clean them before eating.
Being BIG raw cashew fans, we found the brand we normally buy (sold here also in 2-pound bags) to be more and more expensive each time we ordered. Looking for an alternative, we ordered this 5 pound bag which was MUCH less expensive per pound. However, were wary of reviews here that said these nuts would be "stale" or have a "fishy or smoky" smell. Our nuts arrived in packaging TOTALLY different than show (actually a professional looking large zip-lock bag). However, upon opening we certainly did smell something off. It was indeed a scent you could call "smoke/light fish" but the nuts themselves did not taste or seem stale, just had a slightly different taste than we were used to.After a day, we realized the nuts were DIRTY. So, while risking destroying 5 pounds of cashews, I poured the entire bag in a strainer and rinsed them in the sink and then laid them out on a few cookies sheets to dry. When drying wasn't happening I put my over on 170 (the lowest setting) and put both trays of cashews in. I checked 10 minutes at a time to make sure I was not roasting them and it took about 30 minutes for them to dry. In fact, steam would come out of the oven.End result? The "washed and dried" product was free or any odor and tasted MUCH BETTER than what was shipped to us. SO, if you are willing to "process" these cashew upon receipt as we did, you can indeed save a great deal of money. They simply are not cleaned as well as higher priced brands. I'd buy them again to save money, but know they'd need to be washed and dried before eating. You decide if it's worth the savings.

"Spicy World" brand not as shown. Small "Sincerely Nuts" upc sticker slapped across it. Excuse me? Find a REAL NUT FARMER!
It is "NUTS!" NOT AS PICTURED-BWARE. I received the 5lb. bag of Cashews in a bag from "SPICY WORLD" with a small white sticker slapped across it that said: "Sincerely Nuts" with UPC code. Now if I wanted to purchase from "SPICY WORLD" who is actually cheaper with this at the time of writing, then I would have purchased them. But I purchased Sincerely Nuts brand which obviously you and I can do this same thing...be the Middle Man who has a laptop somewhere on the beach and never touch this product. I will not open them per many citing they smell like smoke and fish! Gross. I will opt for returning unopened. Looking elsewhere for that small farmer who ONLY specializes in Cashews and the nutritional content of his nuts. Although I will probably end up paying MORE for them, I will gladly and know that I am supporting a higher quality product and his family in this country. BTW the nuts arrived floating around in my box with a soft kids book, a delicate stuffed Octopus, 3 sets of bamboo eating utensils...I was so worried packed like they would be broken but they made it...the book bent and it just should not have been tossed in the box like that with 5lbs. to roll around and crush stuff. (I actually will remember that in the future and only purchase separately to avoid this.) Also, the nuts are pretty whole, but they look smoked or dried a bit....not creamy and light white so to speak. Hope this helps! Know where your food really comes from don't trust anyone not even those so called "stamps." Nobody cares about your health other than you! Good luck! I am headed to return and find a wholesome real nut farmer that I can feel good about giving my money to!
