My type of furnace requires this to be "cleaned" every winter. Finally gave up, and order a new one each year. First two times, had service calls for mega bucks. Watched the tech the second time and said to myself "I can do this".

1380687 is the part number I have currently, and the probe is 2" long.This one is 3", I have yet to try it, but I think it'll be too long.

Cleaned the sensor a couple of times, finally ended up replacing it and it has worked fine ever since. Our furnace would run, then shut off, then run and shut off. This fixed it!
