Longworth chuck really worth it!
Chuck is great but! Please make sure you don't turn with at more than 600 rpm or it gets wild! i had mine lose a piece because I ran it too fast. Also, beware of the rubber grips! Make sure they are tight before starting the lathe. Also....very important!!! Do not forget to tighten the chuck facing metal tenon! As mine came loose and flew by, fortunately not hurting me. I now tighten it as I would a wooden tenon and it works great.....overall a great tool! Which solved the isue of finishing the bottom of a bowl!

TAKE IT EASY AND SLOW AND THEN IT WORKS JUST
YOU JUST HAVE TO BE CARFUL WHEN USING THIS ITEM. DO NOT APPLY TO MUCH PRESURE WITH YOUR CUTTING BIT. TAKE IT EASY AND SLOW AND THEN IT WORKS JUST FINE

Pretty Good Idea
I heard about this and as an owner of the Cole Jaws felt this might be an improvement. It works well, and has the advantage of not requiring a dedicated chuck or spending productive hours changing jaws. Doesn't work quite as smooth as I had hoped, but overall is satisfactory.

Does the job sometimes
Unfortunately, the fact that it is easy to use is somewhat offset by the fact that it is unstable. The recommended maximum speed is 600 rpm, which presents its own challenges, but even at that speed it can be unstable. I have lost or damaged pieces because of it and if I had to do it again I would buy jumbo chuck jaws instead.

Not wort the price!!
not as advertised. Have used chuck on a # of turnings and just will not hold. Result -- dangerous fly offs!,damaged work. Not worth the price -- looks good and sounds nice but really just a scam

Longworthless Chuck
I got one a few weeks ago but it is so stiff I have to use dowles in the holes to adjust it rendering it useless . I tried to loosen the allen bolt in the center to free it up some but it will not budge. I also tried to contact the manufacture but there is no phone number or email on thier web site. Looks like I have a very expensive wall ornament.
