Other reviews have said this looks cheap, but I am not sure which wood type they picked, I went with the darker wood.Yes the ballerina is made out of plastic, and quite childish, appropriate if buying for a child.But I have painted the figure all white which makes it look a bit more stylish for an older audience.The wooded box is robust, well sanded no grain or nicks and very sold.The mirrors inside are attached security and are the glass kind.The wind up mechanism is strong.And it functions as expected.Lovely item, and for 30-35 pounds is pitched reasonably.

Absolute rip off for this to cost £31. Really disappointed. It looks really cheap in every way. The ballerina inside is a disgrace for the price - it looks like something you might get out of a Christmas cracker. The wood doesn't look expensive and the whole thing looks as though it should have cost under £10. Very disappointing.
