Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  These seem to be a standard set of battery-powered warm light LED lights. The battery pack takes three AA batteries and so should last for a little while. They aren’t very bright but would be good for some general ambient lighting in a tent or something like that. I wouldn’t want to try to read by them.The battery box has a rubber seal around it which implies some degree of water resistance but I don’t think I’d trust it enough to let this get wet at all., especially since where the wire to the LEDs enters the housing doesn’t seem to have any such protection. It’s probably fine to have outside in dry weather but I suspect rain would give it issues.Like many of these sets of LED strings, this one has 8 different modes of operation with various fade/twinkle/chase patterns. I only ever want one “steady on”. Since the only control is a single button, you have to cycle through some of them to get to the one you want and then the rest to turn it off again. I really wish you could just long press the button to turn it steady on/off. But other than that, these do their simple job well. I’ll be bringing them on camping trips and hanging them in the tent.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I was looking for a set of lights that could decorate a car roof rack and didn't want to deal with wires going in the vehicle. This is a really nice set of lights that appears to be waterproof and simple to operate. My kid plays sousaphone in marching band and there is a good chance these will be used to decorate the instrument at some point :)I like how the case latches closed,it seems like a pretty snug fit, safe from the elements. It comes with directions but I doubt you'd need to read them. The case has a numbered list of how the lights work. Simple but effective.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  These are surprisingly bright lights and the patters are pretty.They last for a few days if you leave them on. They seem to turn off automatically after a few hours, which I love.UPDATEAfter using this for the last few weeks on the same batteries, I found that it stays on for about 6 hours, then turns itself back on the next day automatically. Very cool! Still going strong. It will last through the entire season for us.

I bought 3 of these thinking I’d do a few outdoor wreaths. They are easy to use, easy to program, and have many settings. The bulbs are like tiny fairy lights, and they are just not very bright. I used a strand on my big front door wreath, then used a second. Still too dim to really achieve the brightness you’d expect. I would not recommend unless you have a very dark space and just want very dim, romantic light. These are not comparable to normal Christmas lights.

very bright lights and like that they work on 3 batteries. I put on our Christmas wreath, put it on door, and left it! it's great. has timer feature so that you never have to worry about them. very satisfied!

They were great. The lights are very bright and there’s about 8 different patterns you can choose. I Put them on big outside wreaths on windows. Rained on them and batteries are enclosed in plastic case so never got wet. Lit them up for 4 weeks at Xmas every night and never had a problem

These WERE SO AWESOME at the festival. I had them on every night for at least 6 hours for 4 nights.

Awesome lights but they drain batteries very quickly.
