unexpected and beautiful love story.
A Kiss for a Kiss by Helena Hunting is so different from what I have read so far in All In series. It does have moments of witty banter and lots of swoony moment. But it also digs deep into a mature and complicated and kind of forbidden relationship with the struggles and challenges.Seattle's best NHL teams GM Jake Masterson's daughter Queenie is getting married to his goalie Ryan Kingston. And he develops a great friendship with Ryan's big sister Hanna, who is also her mom but the secret has been out just now. From friendship comes attraction. From attraction comes sexy recklessness and a surprise. A surprise baby, to be specific. They were having enough difficulty keeping their affair a secret. What about now? Hanna has her whole life in another city and this is her chance to experience motherhood fully. Jake has already sacrificed his pro career to be an awesome single dad and he may not br ready for a kid now..Some things never change in Helena Hunting book like the epic bromance and the amazing girl gang! You will still find continuous laugh out loud moments in middle of serious issues. But this story is different perspective. Jake and Hanna both had baggages from past, specially Hanna. This woman breaks my heart. Her dreams were destroyed. She had to force herself to play the role of "big sister like mother" and never got to experience all the joys of a mother. And her body and soul went through so much. She is scared and anxious and she has to take some tough decisions. Ryan's reaction added to her heartache and I do understand his feelings. She is such a strong woman with the most loving heart. Thankfully Jake was ready to be there with her. He did react badly initially because it was a shock but he more than made up for his behaviour. I don't know what is it with men with babies but it melts me into a puddle instantly. Jake has a strength and sincerity in him. Responsible. Caring. Protective. And gorgeous. They had amazing chemistry and before this pregnancy they were already getting the feels but this journey together consolidated that they belong together. It did create a weird family dynamics and don't try to figure out who becomes who. This story started with crazy passion with solid friendship that morphed into love over the pregnancy journey. I was expecting a lot angst and more light read but this was a more serious read.A Kiss for a Kiss by Helena Hunting was an unexpected and beautiful love story. It will make your heart warm and leave you with happy memories.I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

Another beautiful Helena story.
As with always with a Helena Hunting read this book drew me right in and didn't let me out again until I was finished again. The only complaint I could have would be its rather short... but no matter how long her stories are I will always be gutted when they finish so maybe that's just me lolThis story is all about Jake (Queenies dad) and Hanna (Kingstons momster) and what happens when they end up with an unexpected shock after spending time together to plans a wedding. As usual this is told in a dual POV so you manage to feel all the emotions from all sides of their journey... and we couldn't forget the usual banter that's usually involved with Violet and crew are around hahaLove being in any of Helenas hockey worlds and having catch ups with the gang!Would always recommend but only after reading the previous books for this series.

Sealed with a kiss
Jake & Hanna’s life / relationship is complicated. Hanna is ‘Momster’ to Jake’s son-in-law Ryan Kingston. Walking his daughter down the aisle meant the end of their secret, passion fuelled relationship. Just too complicated when your kids are married, no matter how much chemistry you have. But the secret doesn’t stay secret when Hanna finds out she is pregnant with Jakes’ baby when she returns to Seattle 3 months after the wedding for Queenie’s birthday celebrations.Emotions are raised with a high-risk pregnancy and unusual relationship dynamics. This could have been fraught with angst, but experience and age bring reason and thoughtfulness, the ability to act with consideration for others that comes with age & a life lived & experienced. I love the lack of miscommunication in this story, Jake & Hanna TALKED to each other. This isn’t all seriousness as it could have been, there are a lot of laughs & silliness. Both Jake & Hanna have had babies young the experience of raising them couldn’t be much different. Jake raised Queenie alone. Hanna raised Ryan as his sister. Both gave up so much for their first baby, now it’s time to do it the way they want.Helena deals sensitively with the subject of high-risk pregnancy but without losing any of her usual style.

Maturity and young children does work.
Such a totally delightful story about a complex dynamics of a family group. Jake father to Queenie, and father of n law to Ryan. Hanna teenager mother to now 30 +Ryan, who thinks she is his sister, mother in law /sister in law to Queenie. Jake and Hannah’s relationship flourishes from friends to something much more. Until. The story is full of emotion, trust issues and possible white lies. The characters are so beautifully believable, and described so clearly the reader almost feels you can touch them. There is a glorious HEA, humour and sarcastic quips flow through the storyline, and this is a stand alone. The romance aspect is tender and sweet and there are many sneaky episodes. An easy well flowing read that leaves you totally sated and content. Well worth 5 stars from this exceptional author.

A promise!
Jake is happy that his daughter, Queenie is in love and marrying Ryan. What he doesn't expect is the chemistry he has with Hanna, Ryan's older sister who is actually his mum. Helping with the wedding planning they grow closer together and their relationship takes a turn. What happens when they find out Hanna is pregnant? Can they find a way to make this work? Will their relationship with their children change? Can they create the family they need? This was such a fantastic read and I just couldn't put it down. Helena gave a book where the main characters are in their forties and supposedly settled, showing that HEA are still there for everyone!

Lovely conclusion
The way Helena has written Jake and Hanna is spot on with the way they both tackled the situation they found themselves in. It was very level headed and mature, and not at all like younger characters would’ve acted! This book was heartbreaking at times, and I felt the tears and the pull on my heartstrings around Hanna’s situation with Ryan. The crossover of characters is always a winner and all these books are definitely worth the read:A lie for a lie (Rook and Lainey)A favour for a favour (Bishop and Stevie-my personal favourite)A secret a for a secret (King/Ryan and Queenie)A kiss for a kiss (Jake and Hanna)
