SleeperHero is a super powered doll and storybook that helps children (and parents) conquer their bedtime fears. The doll has a special light on its chest that changes from red to green to signal to the child when it is an okay time to get out of bed. Parents control the clock preferences based on their child's unique sleep schedule.

Some good aspects, some bad...
Ok, I'll start by saying this toy is ADORABLE, and seems to be very well constructed! My only qualms are that the book talks about the little boy being really scared when his dad leaves the room at night. I suppose if a child is *already* experiencing fear, this might not be anything new, but for my kiddo, I felt like it was introducing the idea that a bedroom can be a scary place. Because of that, I don't read him the book (or if I do, I edit it quite a bit to keep from introducing any potentially fearful thoughts into his head). Also, I wish you could set a naptime *and* bedtime schedule, so that the sleeper hero wouldn't be green during the parts of the day that you want your kid to nap. It seems to confuse my toddler that his sleeper hero is green, yet I'm still telling him he has to stay in bed for his nap. This is not a huge deal, but definitely an option for improvement with the product. 👍🏼

IT TURNED GREEN!!!
We got sleeper hero for our 2.5 year old son. We were having problems with him not wanting to go to bed and then wanting to get up 1-2 hours earlier than necessary. My wife saw a demo of this online and we thought we would try it out.First off, the construction is done well. The fabric is soft, the seams are strong and sewn well, and the plastic pieces can take a pounding (like when he tries to "fly" down the stairs) yet are recessed and won't harm your child if the get bonked.Execution of sleeper hero is pretty basic. Set the current time, set bed time (when he turns red), and set wake up (turns green). The controls are intuitive and easy to follow. You'll read the story and get your kid comfortable with "red means stop and go to bed" and "green means time to go play!" Within 3 days out son was on board with the idea. Sleeper hero will hang out with us as we are getting ready for bed. Your kid can toggle the light on and off, but even if the light is off, when the color changes it will pop on. James sees him turn red and now PROACTIVELY let's us know it's bedtime. It truly is magic! In the morning, if he gets up and sees it's red, he'll hang out in his room quietly until he changes color. You'll know sleeper hero changed as your kid will shout over the monitor "it turned green!!!"While a great product, and highly recommended. There are some opportunities for improvement. First, the Velcro covering the computer box in the back isn't the strongest. As we use sleeper hero for both night time and nap, we have to open him up daily to reset him. Which brings me to improvement #2.Multiple sleep settings. It would be great if you could set multiple sleep and wake times to account for an afternoon nap. This could be a basic setting in the computer or better yet, improvement #3.Smartphone app. It would be AWESOME if we could reset the times by syncing to sleeper hero with our smartphone and using an app to set him up. No more opening and closing him up! James has found the compet box in sleeper hero but hasn't figured out what it does as there is a lock button to keep him from adjusting it. A sealed unit with a smartphone app would fix all of this. The verdict? Sleeper hero is a high quality product that your kid will love and will get you some sleep. It is easy to use, works well, and will last over the years. A smartphone app would make ease-if-use that much better and multiple sleep times would be a plus. Add this to your registry and you won't be disappointed!

Perfect for kids who don't know when to get up!
Initially, I thought this product was pretty pricey. However, it was worth every single penny. My son isn't afraid of the dark and is very good about going to bed, but he has trouble knowing when it's time to get up. Sleeper Hero Edmund has solved the problem! At the stroke of 6:30 am, SH turns green and here comes my boy! SH is REALLY cute and well-made--he comes with our family everywhere, not just to bed. His battery pack is well-hidden, so there is less temptation for my son to play with it. The book accompanying SH is a very cute, clever story--well-written and fun for adults as well. Love the illustrations. Now, can you please come out with a female version for my daughter??

This product had the right idea but does need some tweaking. First off, the book should have a more positive message to cover a wider range of consumer. My daughter want scared of being in her room so I discontinued the book so I didn't make matters worse. I just needed assistance with giving her something to instruct her when she was allowed to leave her bed. It does help with that, although it took a few days for her to stay understanding which is normal when teaching a new concept. The fact that there's no way to add a nap time makes it frustrating bc you have to reset it daily. Especially if you're trying to cement the concept for whenever your kid should be staying in bed. The clock is also kinda cheap and the buttons don't always work. On ours anyways. I decided to go with an Alexa enabled light bulb that I'm putting in a side lamp in her room. It's color changing and I can adjust with my phone whenever I want as well as set a schedule. I think this is a cool idea for a product but it needs some tweaking to make it more user friendly for parents with kids who take naps.

Just eh. Not that great.
This doll is a great idea, however, I have some issues with it. First off, the buttons to set the clocks barely work on ours. I pushed and pushed just to adjust one number. It took forever to do all 3 clock settings.Second thing, I was under the impression that the red light would stay illuminated throughout the night, but that's not the case. It goes off after 15 minutes to save the battery, which is fine, but expecting a half asleep 4 year old to remember to push the button to see if it's red or green is a bit far fetched in our case. The book is fine. My son liked it okay, but like others have said, he doesn't have "monsters in my room" issues so I'm nervous to introduce the idea to him.Lastly, in general I feel like the product is WAY overpriced for what it is and does. My son like the doll to match his newly remodeled superhero room so we are going to keep it, but I think this product is overrated. I'll be getting something different for my little girl.
