Yes, mine is left-handed and the Aloha is right side up when I play it.

Q: The back-side image shows the chrome tuners are sealed...so we can't see inside. My question is: are they geared tuners or friction-only?

They are geared tuners. I am not a musician expert... However I bought this instrument so my answer is simply based on my observation. Hope this is helpful

Yes. Plus, if you are playing it "lefty", not only can you see the fret markers, but the word "Aloha" on the headstock reads right side up.

Q: Does t.f his product come with it's own carrying case ?

No, it does not come with a case. It's in a cardboard box.
