Another great read
I’m a new fam of the Liz Carlyle series, easy read with twists and turns keeps you on your toes while you follow Liz’s thought process as she follows the clues to catch the bad guy. Highly recommend!

Lively
I have become somewhat addicted to Rimington’s books. Having read all the rest, this one got out of order, so I am now up to speed on Liz Carlyle’s complete private life as well as her MI5 escapades. This is a pleasant casual read that with all the exotic locations and intrigue might make a good movie. We follow the lives of multiple characters, Fane, Charles, Peggy at MI5, along with Liz’s Mum and her romantic entanglements. At some places in the timeline, Liz’s powers seem a bit implausible but this is a good yarn. You do get a good insight into what life is really like in the UK, with the class distinctions and the attitudes to foreigners and everything else.

Espionage Reviewers are a Hard Lot
As much as I like the two other books I am reading, I immediately began reading 'Dead Line' the day it arrived somewhat unexpectedly in the mail. I had Pre-ordered it a month or so ago. After the first short chapter I did not want this book to end and I could not put it down. I had to think a bit along the way, and yes, keep track of characters, but Liz Carlyle's personality kept me engaged. Thank You Stella Rimington. I will be getting 'Rip Tide' when it comes out in Paperback. (I see it has been released to Kindle first, trying to sucker us into buying electronics!)

Better than the last, but...
...still not a thrilling spy novel. Ms. Rimington is dutifully writing in a manner that may mimic real world methodology of solving international espionage, but you've gotta toss a little something in for action. This supposed to be fiction with a hard gripping edge if you want to call it a thriller. Reads more like a case study and not the most interesting case, either. It's how she wants to write her novels and that's fine. She's said before that James Bond and all the other Hollywood spy work has given everyone false expectations as to what really goes on in the spy world, but when you are writing fiction you can let your hair down a bit and give it some action.

good book
I'm 4 books into this sieres and I enjoyed this book.I have a very easy time of transfering myself into books.I don't overthink what i'm reading I just read. The plot was good (stop an attempt on terror on peace talks).Deal with double agents, friends and would be lovers,a pompass co-worker and in the end save the day.I will buy and read the next book that comes out no question about that.Sometimes reviews are too harsh, it gives the person reviewing a misleading representation of whats entertaining, these books are entertaining. Her characters are beautifully developed, yet complex
Having now read all of Stella Rimington's books, I must say that each is so different, but dealing with complex but believable situations in today's climate. Her characters are beautifully developed, yet complex.I can't wait for the next book to arrive.

Well thought out plot
Stella Rimington writes with insideer knowledge, follows an interesting heroine in all her exploits and the reader feels she has carefully crafted her story line so that all the ends are tied up.

Superspanned
Stella Rimington war selber beim MI5 - und schreibt spannend bis zur letzten Minute. Dazu der hochaktuelle politische Bezug. Absolut lesenswert.
