Baby Bear Counts One
J**.
Toddler's Most Requested Read
I actually had checked this book out of our local library. My 20-month old son clearly prefers books that tell a story, and he would get bored and wouldn't sit through any counting book we tried. Baby Bear Counts One stands out as the numbers and counting are seamlessly woven into the story. My son absolutely loved this book and asked for it by name ("One.") I was reading it three and four times, back-to-back, and again later in the same day. After it had gone back to the library, he continued to go to the shelf where it had been to look for it. After nearly two weeks of explaining we had left "One" at the library, I knew we had to have our own copy. Just a delightful book!

Fantastic book in all possible regards.
I dare say my son is Ashley Wolff's #1 fan. Between this and Baby Bear Sees Blue, he's the happiest camper. The artwork is fantastic and he's (presumably) learning to count here and his colors there. My only request would be for these to be published on that cardboard stock. The paper quality is wonderful but the images are so vibrant my son wants nothing more than to touch the pages and, being a baby, he's just as likely to tear the pages as anything. And he loves them so much we want the books to stay in one piece. And there is something to be said for the books we keep for him to be the very same ones he read.

Wonderful Counting Book
It is such a delight to find a cumulative counting book that is neither simplistic nor cartoony, but instead has a strong, clear story centered around a curious little bear and the changing season, and - best of all - has rich linocut and watercolor illustrations that spread across the pages and draw children and grownups into taking a closer look. We loved "Baby Bear Sees Blue" and this book is a wonderful and beautiful sequel.

I really love this author
Just as darling as Baby Bear Sees Blue (one of our faves). The illustrations are the cutest! I really love this author! I only wish it came in board back format.

Ashley, this book is seriously sweet as can be. I gift it to all of my friends that have young children. Beautiful.

A lovely book
A lovely, sophisticated counting book for the older toddler. The illustrations are beautiful and imaginative. My granddaughter loves the Baby Bear series.

Not as good as Baby Bear Sees Blue
Baby Bear Sees Blue is a favorite of ours (read daily) but this falls short of that and the larger size is cumbersome to read to a toddler.

lovely preschool book
The gentle story of a baby bear and his mama wandering through the meadow in fall gives toddlers and preschoolers a wonderful opportunity to name and count animals and learn how thy prepare for winter.
