Despite the cost, I'm keeping it.
I didn't want to like this bag so much. Why would an unsponsored angler want to love one of the most expensive models on the market and pay for it with their own money? It is what I thought it would be though, the best bag for me.I primarily kayak fish, so the hard bottom with grippy feet were a big draw. I'm not a pro, so I don't need to carry hundreds of pounds of rods and lures with me. The 3600 model holds seven 3600 size boxes (three Plano 3650 boxes are included), which took all of my owned tackle and then some. I prefer the designed arrangement of the boxes to stand vertically on their side edge. This way the bag stands taller to provide a make-shift table top with the dropzone magents holding lures or tools secure when tying up something new. The other more common design of 3600 sized bags seems to have boxes stand vertically on their back, making the bag shorter overall. I also really like the flat top this bag provides, again with the sweet dropzone magnets. Other bags seem to use the 1/4" checkered rubber mesh pocket on the top. That just seems like I'd get lures and hooks tangled up all of the time. I plan to keep this bag in front of me between my legs while fishing. I don't like the reaching around to get into a crate type situation. This bag will fit in a standard crate on its side though when wanting a place to stow it while paddling to/from the launch site. It is also a good size to take on a bigger boat or to carry to the dock or shoreline bank. Although, I do prefer a smaller sling pack for the latter. The zippers are big and work well. The EVA formed front and side pockets open clamshell-like and are ample enough to hold tools, 3500 boxes, line, Powerbait jars, phone, keys, wallet, etc. The bait file comes with three pages/baggies, of seemingly good quality, on two rings. The bags measure 8-3/8"W x 9-1/2"T with the grommet holes spaced 4-5/32" apart. It would be nice if they included an extra bag or two since I'm having trouble sourcing extras. The rings are attached to straps on the bag inside of the pocket and are not in a fixed position, so they can accommodate different grommet widths if one wanted to go with different baggies altogether. Overall the three baggies and the bait file pocket will hold about 9-12 bags of soft baits comfortably, which will be adequate for me on any given outing. Finally, I do like the loops on the front of the bag for attaching the carabiner side of tool leashes to, or to leash the bag to the kayak. There are lots of pros. It is a great bag. It's a great looking bag. I have just three cons: 1) the cost. It is a great bag, but I'm not sure how many crazies like me will pay the steep initial price. It's more than the price of their "Guide Series" 3600 bag. Dropping the price $30-40 would be good. 2) For the price, It could have come with more boxes. It holds seven, they include three. 3) Like I mentioned before, I would like to see one or two more bait file pages and a part # to easily order extras or replacements. That's it. Despite that, I do love it, and I will be keeping it.

Well made, sturdy tackle box with nice features
Very sturdy for a soft side/hybrid tackle box. The 3 large side pockets can hold 3500 series boxes. There aren't any additional fabric pockets anywhere on the bag but I prefer it without them (if they aren't done well they don't hold up). The MOLLE webbing provides nice attachment points for carabiners or other clips when needed. A nice touch and they should hold up well over time. The Zippers are oversized and also seem durable. The bait file is a really nice feature. I don't use a lot of plastic lures so I'm taking it as a challenge. The Drop Zone and magnets are handy. The non-slip feet keep the bag from sliding. I thought it would be more box than I need, but it should work very well for me.A couple of attachment points on the back of the bag so you could affix something to the top and having at least one of the side pockets with a clip to attach your keys would have been nice additions. Overall I think they did a good job of eliminating non-durable elastic/cheap fabric pockets and leaving it up to the user to utilize storage space.... and shame on Plano for making the EDGE series of boxes a little different size. I don't want the whole line, but I would think about a terminal box.

It was just too small for the price
Too expensive for very little room for all my stuff

missing a few details
It is a "nice" bag. I had a few of the new plano edge boxes, but unfortunately, this bag was not made to hold them. The bait file area has 3 plastic resealable bags to hold soft plastics. This tore and is useless after the first 3 uses. The picks are also missing some storage. Maybe a simple pouch or something to hold s issues, pliers, etc. They are just large pockets. It is very expensive compared to others out there. I feel it fell just short for me. Close, but no cigar.
