These are nice straws. They have a large diameter and would be good for shakes or boba. I wish that's why I bought them. I needed to transport and store some liquids for a kids science experiment. I had seen some articles online in which people have used straws to travel with small amounts of liquids or pastes, by sealing off the ends.Unfortunately, these sturdy little buggers resisted all attempts to be melted and crimped shut. Repeat: do not buy these to crimp and store stuff. Anyone need 34 milkshake straws?

There are good straws.. I use them for smoothies as the wide diameter makes it easier if there is a piece of fruit or ice.... Heck they are so sturdy I even will wash them in the dishwasher and use them several times before I throw them away. That being said though I have been washing the same two for about a month now so I will order some more post haste.

These straws have worked well for us - my wife and I drink smoothies with them. She really dislikes that they have a single pointy end - saying that it makes it difficult to get the last of the soothie, but I don't have a strong opinion either way. They were reasonably inexpensive, and we wash them to get a few uses out of each.

Went to an upscale eatery and these straws were served with my ‘adult ice cream drink’. Waitress was kind enough to give me an extra one in its wrapper so I could remember brand and order them online. They are excellent for the thick smoothies I make every morning! Also they are washable/reusable which makes them a good value.

What was advertised as "approximately 9 inches" ends up actually being 8 1/4 inches, which is a disappointment. I was looking for a 9 inch straw to fit in a tall smoothie cup. I'll make the straws work since I have them. They are sturdy and the width is as advertised, but I can't give it 5 stars since it did not meet my expectations. Amazon, please change your description for these straws to read "a little over 8 inches".

Very large diameter. I take one into c$lvers to replace those bar stir straws. Finially can enjoy a shake. Get a water glass and pre-rinse straw after meal or restroom faucet. Use mild soap solution and straw cleaning brushes with RING advailable here on Amazon and rinse immediacy when getting home. No soap taste. Have a angled end I like to cut off with a sharp scissors while still in individual wraps. I keep 3 in each glovebox in my vehicals.

I love these straws because they're so long. I use them for anything I'm drinking (usually tall glasses of water, but I even use them for beer) because I like big, tall glasses. These are long and sturdy, so I wash them an reuse. Other straws I've tried are either way too short, or too flimsy to reuse. I prefer to reuse as much as possible, and I can with these. Plus, you get a big bag of them for a small price. Great for straw lovers!

I love the large straws for drinking frozen drinks, my sister sent me some monster (brand) straws to try out. These are less expensive. Unfortunately, the day after I ordered them I found a box of 40 ct at WalMart for only $1.98. Bought those too and now I'm stocked up. Probably won't order these again as long as I can find them at WalMart for way less.

These straws are perfect for shakes and smoothies.
