Oyster plate
For fresh oysters the insets were not big or deep enough to even hold average sized shells, therefore the liquid from the oysters spilled over. Only eight sections? Oysters usually come in a dozen or half? The section in the middle is a square- maybe for a sauce but I have lemon- why not round?

You have to remove the oysters from the shell.
Not deep enough to use oysters in the shell. If you like either mornay or Kilpatrick these are not for you. Sharp edges on the other side. In the bin they go. Not even worth sending them back.
