Good quality item
Very nice well built switch box. Works perfectly with no change in sound quality. Bi-directional makes it very useful for different purposes.

Seems to work well, but kinda quiet
Had to crank the volume almost all the way up... and at that level, it introduced a fair bit of background static noise. It's not noticeable while talking or listening to others. But in silent pauses between, there's noticeable hum/buzz at a medium level. If I turn the volume down to halfway, the noise goes away, but then I have a harder time hearing the real sound. This does a very capable job for what I need, so I'll keep it. But I wish it was a bit better at either naturally being louder, or just filtering the noise when you turn the volume all the way up. Not wonderful, but good enough.

I have headphone cables running from TV, Home Stereo, PC and DAB+ Radio to the 3.5 mm inputs of this switchbox. The switchbox output is connected to the input of a bluetooth transmitter. The output signal from the transmitter is received by a bluetooth headphone.Turning the input selector knob on the switchbox confirms what the eye already beholded: its solidity is unmistakable. The same goes for the volume knob, feeling equally reassuring.I do not experience the volume control as rather ineffective, as some of the review-colleagues stated. In all of my connections the sound volume is adjustable from total silence to deafening loud. If an input signal were weak, then, of course, the volume control could not make more of it above a certain level since it is not an amplifier. In my previous set-up a cable with inline volume control wheel formed the connection to the bluetooth transmitter. That cable has been replaced by the cable that came in the box with this unit. So now the volume is controlled with the knob. Well then, this can be said: the sound in the headphone is clearer, easier to listen to. Just a little but noticeable. Voices are more understandable, especially when whispering. This new set-up is very satisfying. When changing the input source both left and right stereo channels click in to the new source without hesitation (unlike the switch device with push buttons now replaced, where the right channel failed on two of the inputs until the 'correct' push pressure was exerted). And there is no cross-talk, even if all four input devices are turned on. This was different with the switch device before the previous one. This box has enough weight for the rubber feet to keep it in place. It seems a detail hardly worth mentioning, but moving would be annoying. Tilting also is annoying and this it does, sometimes, because the rubber feet sit not quite on the corners. Extra feet in the outmost corner positions redressed this.I searched Europe for a new switchbox inspiring confidence but none convinced me. When looking broader this one came up and it appealed to me right away. And then whhatt, no bad reviews?? How is that possible? Now I understand why.Once ordered the box arrived in The Netherlands amazingly quick, how well is it all organized. Thank you America, thank you Amazon.

love this simple switch. I use it on one of my turn tables. One channel goes into my mixer for DJing and I have another going directly into my phono stage in my Paris Advance amp.

This works great
I got this so I don’t have to keep switching my sound cables from 1 PC to the next. This works great no more getting under the desk to Change my sound cable around and I now use the same sound system on both my computers. Just by pushing a button “so easy”

Don't use the included cable
Pros:- Switches between 2 audio devices. Can mute.- Doesn't require external power.Cons:- Included cable is unusably bad.- Using the volume control dial makes this horrible scratchy noise. (This can be greatly reduced by lifting the cover of the dial a little so it doesn't scrape metal-on-metal.)- Even at max volume, the resulting sound is quieter than bypassing this device.I scratched my head for a bit, wondering why the device appeared to be adding a lot of noise to my microphone. The biggest factor was the cable. Using known-good cables reduced the noise dramatically. The other issue was it makes the connected device (in this case, the mic) quieter. Increasing the gain to compensate for the volume lost also introduces some noise, just not as much as that cable. But if you bring your own cables and just need a mute button, the price is right.
