I make it a point to buy from SuperOlive since they are more responsive and guarantee they send you the most recent harvest batch. Excellent Early Harvest olive oil with a slightly grassy taste - exactly what I need.

I like bitterness, but this olive oil is bitter even for my tastes. It feels hot and peppery on the tip of the tongue, bitter toward the back. Bitter aftertaste. Bitter seems to correlate to more polyphenols ?? I will use this oil for it's health properties. I only use it on certain foods. The bitterness balances nicely against sweet flavors.
