Vibrant colors, fun to take apart
I am very happy with this item. It looks and feels good. I expected the ears to be a problem and one was broken off but a little glue fixed it. I hope my great nephew enjoys it.

The largest animal's nesting characteristic is great, but only if oriented properely
The product is well made, very well painted. The largest animal's nesting characteristic is great, but only if oriented properly. In other words, the connection of the two halfs isn't possible unless the mating exactly follows the painted features where they split. This is fine for adults but tough for kids to realize. Since there are small parts, there is risk of putting the smaller pieces in their mouth and thus probably shouldn't be for kids under 3-yrs. The other animals were very difficult to separate and required a bit of rubbing with a parafin candle to get them to mate and pull-apart easily for a child. The Panda's ears seem solidly attached, but will probably be the first part broken.

Lacks durability
Adorable! We wanted to love these. We bought these for our 1 year old daughter as a Christmas present. She immediately took to them. Closely monitor small children, that bald eagle is just asking to be swallowed.Unboxing First impressions:From the moment I opened them I was in awe but also disappointed. The paint job was fantastic, but again there were some issues. Firstly the box they were packaged in was too small causing the ears to bulge out. Second, the panda was EXTREMELY difficult to get open. I couldn’t open it and had to ask my husband. He had a hard time too. Finally we got it open (it loosened up a bit over time). Then we noticed the Tiger was extremely loose and would not stay together. The other pieces were fine. After about two months of gentle play (closely monitored) I went to grab them from the shelf one day and noticed one of the ears was gone. Our shelf is up high so I know no one messed with them. It must have popped off from the wood swelling or compressing? Maybe there was a small crack. I’m not sure. The next day my husband accidentally stepped on the monkey and it shattered in to tiny pieces. So they went in the trash sadly..I wish they were more durable and there were less flaws. I would repurchase and recommend if those flaws were fixed.

My son loves these!
These arrived exactly how I expected them to. This was a Christmas gift for my 7 year old son. He has always enjoyed playing with these so when I saw this set I was so excited. I knew he'd be so excited to see the eagle in the middle being Eagles are one of his favorite! The detail is beautiful on all of the animals. They opened easily for us right away and continue to every time. We put a $5 bill in one of them, he thought that was pretty cool!

The painting is very good, but was very hard to open
The painting is very good, but was very hard to open. Had to use a knife to separate pieces. Will try sanding edges to make them easier to separate. Otherwise, great product!

... for a gift that's under $20 that will be loved and cherished for years to come
Hey Grandparents & Aunts - - Looking for a gift that's under $20 that will be loved and cherished for years to come? After watching my two grandsons play with my inherited nesting Christmas toys, I sent this to my grandson as a post-Christmas present and when I FaceTime him - sure enough - he's opening them and telling me what animal he finds. At 2-1/2 year old I got him to say they're "endangered species". So that I don't forget, I ordered two other "BestPysanky" nesting snowmen to put away for next Christmas hoping to make it a traditional gift. Can you think of a single toy that will be enjoyed generation after generation like this will?I should get a commission - or a free one for this comment don't you think? Hint Hint. Seriously though - I meant every word!
