It all helps us to not take ourselves too seriously, even in the midst of a life-threatening illness, as we "let go" and commit ourselves to God's care, confident of ultimate victory whether we live or whether we die.This book is good light reading for someone who may not be feeling well and can only read a page or two at a time, the entries are all short and easily read. This book will almost certainly cheer up someone who is in a hospital bed.

Gift

I bought this for a friend of mine who is battling cancer. I wanted to give her something to help boost her spirits. She loved it. I haven't read this particular book, but I do love Barbara Johnson. She is great! Very talented.

This book helped my mom as she went through chemo treatments. It has short stories from the author's life that provide moments of laughter during a very difficult, not so funny time of life. I have given this to other friends undergoing chemo and it always provides a smile when they read it a little each day.

Barbara Johnson, even with a malignant brain tumor has such joy and laughter. She helps you remember that God is love and that we always can find joy and laughter in any situation and when we do it increases our peace and joy.

Barbara Johnson was a witty, compassionate writer. She had a glorious way of looking at life.This book was funny and sad at the same time. super read!
