Bellefit Postpartum Dual-Closure Girdle - C-Section & Natural Birth Recovery, Postpartum Essentials

I have the bellefit dual closure corset. I followed the fitting sizes exactly.Pros:• I had a c-section and this did a great job in supporting my incision which lessened the pain greatly.• It has helped flatten my stomach while wearing it.Cons:• Whenever I wear a top that fits closer to my body, you can see the lumpy frontal closure through the top making it obvious that I have something on underneath.• Because the corset is made to fit tight, it creates a very strong panty line visible through my pants. I wish they made a corset that fit more like mini shorts.• On each side of the corset at the top, there are really stiff pieces that jab into my hip bones and scratch my skin so I have to wear little pads there to protect myself.For the support, this is great. However, for the price I paid for this, I feel it should have performed better in all aspects.

I hadn't heard of Bellefit until I was pregnant when a couple of friends, independent of one another, recommended I buy one. I did and my experience was fantastic! So much so that I am currently wearing Bellefit again after giving birth to my second child. My weight gains were different for both pregnancies, so I actually began using my Belledit from my last pregnancy (it totally held up well) and have since reduced down into a smaller size corset. I have the dual closure (natural birth both times.) I began wearing the corset 2 days after both births and more than anything, in those first days out of the hospital, I just felt secure and supported (not as gross as I felt while in the hospital!) I didn't fasten the underneath closure for almost a week, FYI. Not happening right away! i simply tucked the closire up and under the belly section and waited until I felt comfortable. (The corset is snug enough that it wasn't bothersome.) I don't wear it to bed and I don't wear it for exercise, but otherwise, it's on my body. I would highly recommend this corset and would advise using their online calculator as I would have definitely ordered a lot larger. The fabric and stitching is high quality (again, used my corset from 2 years ago after giving birth this year.) The corset really helped me look and physically feel better, which also helped with the mental part of recovery - and we all know that it goes hand-in-hand after giving birth!

I hate this girdle so much that I'm taking my time to write a review. I bough the correct size and started wearing it after my c-section. After the first day in hell I thought that I better wear to not see my precious money going wasted. The girdle itself seems durable material but they could put more covering on the back... this thing fits like a thong and it rides up! If you look like the model in the picture after having a baby, good for you! For some reason it is showing that I've ordered XS but my original order was M (28" waist, 41" hips).

The corset was tight fitting at first and I could only place it on its loosest hook. But, by the second week I was able to place it on its tightest hooks. Getting to the third week, the corset was very loose and clearly was not fulfilling its purpose. I do not wear it anymore as its too stretchy and its just uncomfortable. I ve been searching for methods to make it fit again all to no avail. In conclusion, it works for the first three weeks but after that you need to switch to a work out routine to continue to firm the belly area after pregnancy.

If you want confidence after having a baby, this will definitely give it to you! My first baby is about to turn one, so I've waited a while to write this review. I purchased this corset, after checking the size chart on the bellefit website, and I am so glad I did! I did not have a cesarean, however, I wore the corset out of the hospital on a Wednesday and could not zip it up. I could barely get the side hooks closed. But after wearing it, by Friday I could zip it up. I ended up going back to the hospital, because I forgot something, and one of the postpartum nurses said I looked like I didn't even have a baby! I received so many compliments on how great I looked after giving birth. At a time, when I was sleep deprived, emotional, and recovering, this corset made me feel normal and like something in my life hadn't completely changed forever. It really gave me so much confidence in my appearance after giving birth, if only it could have given me the same confidence in my parenting abilities!

Why does this product have so many great reviews? It is too expensive for something that does not help your stomach go very flat after your baby. Don't be deceived! You still need to work out super hard with this except you want to depend on wearing it to make your stomach LOOK flat rather than your stomach actually BEING flat! Save your money and get a waist trainer instead. Wish i could get a refund on this!

I had my third c-section recently and I had a tougher recovery period this time around. I wore a binder issued by the hospital immediately after surgery and kept it on until I could fit into my small dual-closure Bellefit girdle at 6 days pp. After wearing the small Bellefit for 2 days, I was able to stop taking my narcotic pain medication. At my 2 week pp checkup, my OB was surprised that I was no longer taking my narcotic. I knew the medical grade support from my Bellefit was the reason I felt so much better because I felt pain whenever I had to take off the Bellefit (for showering and washing the Bellefit).After wearing the small dual-closure girdle for 2 weeks, I ordered the extra-small dual-closure girdle for additional support (I was between the small and extra-small sizes). The support from these girdles is wonderful--I don't worry about having abdominal pain when I cough, sneeze, or need to do anything that requires the use of my abdominal muscles. I highly recommend this product!
