Beautiful look and grinds VERY well.
I truly enjoy this product. I am a coffee snob lol and I love fresh ground coffee every morning that I brew in a coffee press. My girlfriend and I have gone all rustic/vintage with our apartment so I figured that a classic looking hand grinder might be a bit more fun than your run of the mill electric grinder and I was right. Not only does it grind well (has two grind settings: coarse for coffee press or fine for espresso) but it fits right in with our set up. I even bought a beautiful rose gold coffee press to match! It's not stated but it seems that the little grind catch drawer holds about 2.5 tbsp. of grinds which yields enough for 8oz of water so if you are making coffee for two or three than you'll have to grind a full bowl of beans or maybe a little more depending on your strength preference. But honestly? That is actually something I appreciate. It requires me to slow down my morning a bit and actually enjoy the coffee AND the process. Get it. You'll love it and be satisfied.

Nice Old Fashioned-Looking Grinder
I have been using my grinder for a week and it's working great so far. A little bit of a short challenge to assemble the product because the instructions are small and not as clear/good as they could be when it comes to placing the ceramic grinding section of this product together. However, after some help from my son - who assembles things like a champ - I am finding that the grinder works well with coffee beans and it's fun to grind them. You will just need to be careful with setting the distance between the two ceramic pieces (fairly easily adjusted after you figure out the assembly). This setting determines how finely the coffee is ground. If you set the two pieces where there's not much space in between, you will get coffee dust and it will take a looong time to grind. With the proper spacing, you can get larger grounds that still make good coffee but without the need to crank for 5 minutes. This is a nice-looking grinder that works well. Happy so far.

For coffee lovers only
I'm going to tell you right now, dear reader; if you want a quick cup of coffee, this is not a grinder for you. This is for people who love QUALITY coffee, and don't mind taking the time to make it (or if you just want it for asthetic purposes.)On to the product itself. What I received did not have an oil rubbed bronze finish, but copper (which is fine in my opinion because it matches my french press.) The mechanics of it feel sturdy and the wooden base feels well put together. The directions it comes with are easy to follow, however there are no specific grind settings so there's going to be some trial and error. I recommend testing a small batch starting coarse and working your way to your prefered grind. For anybody who's never brewed coffee with freshly ground beans and wondering if it's worth trying, it truly is. And if you feel like grinding your own beans is too much work, this still makes a cute decor piece for your coffee station. The only reason I give it a 4 out of 5 is because I didn't receive the pictured item; something most buyers would take issue with.

Great looking piece for the kitchen, and also works great
I enjoy this piece. Note, it is a smaller size, so you'll have to fill the box a few times to make a cup of coffee. I like the old fashioned look and it's very sturdy. I've used it for a month now and still works great.

Antique-type vibe
This is a very cute, antique-style coffee grinder. I bought for decor rather than function, so i can't speak to how well it works but it seems well-made and durable. The collection drawer is very small, so could be a factor to consider if you are looking for a functional coffee grinder. It looks great on my coffee bar and I'm happy with it.

Not a good experience at all.
The grinder arrived partially disassembled, requiring the central grindstone to be installed. The instructions for how to do this were incredibly limited, and the stone would not fit naturally into place. I was forced to disassemble the grind mechanism to put the stone in, only the whole thing came apart. Reassembly proved to be impossible for me and all I succeeded in doing was breaking the unit worse, forcing me to throw it in the trash. As a purely decorative piece, maybe it warrants a buy, but for anything remotely functional, stay far away from this product. You will find a whole lot of heartache and wasted time. The only thing at 5 stars is my disappointment.

For avid coffee lovers with extra time that want pleasing kitchen furniture
It looks very fancy. When I brought it to my mother’s house to get fresh ground Hawaiian coffee, everyone was fascinated with it. Results were great except that it makes less than a single standard pot per drawer. And that it took about 5-10 minutes plus elbow grease to make a full drawer. My mother asked if she could try it out and regretted asking after about 3 minutes. (We made close to fine grinds.) Basically it is probably intended for single cup brews.I actually am impressed with the range of grinding. I got to a setting where I made powder so fine that I suspected it was either instant full dissolve coffee or a powder to sprinkle on baked goods for that coffee flavor. That being said that took me about 15 - 20 minutes and I didn’t get close to 1/8 of the drawer. It works similar to a pepper corn grinder. Hard to start a grind but once you get going it gets easier unless you had it on the powder setting like I did above. One other issue is occasionally beans can jump out as you grind. Sometimes shot outward and onto the floor. All in all, nice grinder. It has some novelty in its appearance but if I had to choose what to use my $15 on again, for functionality I’d choose an electric grinder or another more limited (but easier to adjust) setting grinder. It be a nice gift to someone if they are worthy of your $15 and if you don’t mind being called cruel for giving them an exercise machine/coffee grinder. I’m kidding on the cruel part but they have to really love coffee and aesthetics (and be willing to work for it for up to 15 minutes) to love and use this device.
