Good bang for the buck!
Great system and works well. Even tested it from >50 miles away and it worked perfectly. My ONLY complaint is that I can't have it automatically save the captured video to my local net/cloud.

Great system
We recently installed this system at our house and even added two cameras to the system. Every aspect of installing this system was a breeze. We had an older model is our previous house and when my husband talked about getting another setup for our new house we new, from previous experience, what system to get! The app works great too!

Good system worth the money
This is a great system for the money. Installation is very easy. The camera quality is good, the images looks very good I've had this system for 2 years and it has worked great, the customer service is fast and reliable. I'm about to add more camera's to my system and I reached out to customer service for help and they got back to me right away. I would recommend this system to anyone looking for a good, reliable, and inexpensive security camera system.

After 2 out of 4 cameras on my old system (1st gen. 2.0 OS) apparently gave the ghost (I thought the internal weather sealing had eroded), and learning through trial and error OOSSXX doesn't offer replacement/add-on cameras, and after unsuccessfully trying every 2.0 'compatable' aftermarket camera. I ordered/installed this kit to replace it. The first camera told the tale. While only 30 feet from the hard-drive receiver unit, antenna's in full open view of one another through an open door, it lost signal after successfully testing inside (this was one of the old camera positions I thought had died). I went ahead and replaced the other 3 pre-tested camers from this system anyhow, and the 2nd camera I thought had died also didn't work once mounted either. They are both on the west side of the house, and they only lose connection when the sun rises, a phenomina that had only recently had begun with the first system this year, after over 4 years of un-interupted service. The only utility on that side is a ground level power tranformer Xcel replaced over three years ago, which didn't adversly affect the 1st system. The only other difference is the neighbor on that side installed a Ring doorbell. I am patiently awaiting the optional repeater accesory ordered, Amazon is apparently suffering from extended shipping times all of a sudden. Which brings me to the title, as mentioned, I have considerable previous experience with the 2.0 OS system, including manually updating firmware, manually adding camera and so on. With the firmware on this new system now up to date, and dusk settling in, all cameras came back online. The following morning I went to review footage, something that used to take about 10 minutes for 8-9 hrs. of video, or ~ 1.3 seconds per minute. This new system, on max FF speed, takes ~4 seconds per minute, that translates to over a 1/2 hour to review 8.5 hers of video. Simply unnacceptable! Looks as if I'll be returning, along with the repeater, if it ever gets here, and searching for a wired system that doesn't run this crap firmware. I literally typed this review during a meager 6 hrs. of FF video review (12-6am).

Wrong power adapters for cameras
I live in the northeastern United States. This product arrived with four European style power adapters (type c) for the cameras. The NVR arrived with a standard north American power adapter (type a). I am unable to plug cameras in due to oossxx sending wrong power adapters. If oossxx can fix this I would give 5 stars. This is actually the second security camera system I have ordered from oossxx and would highly recommend this nvr system (minus the power adapter mix up).UPDATE: The photo is the replacement power cord oossxx sent me for my cameras. They are actually not camera power cords but rather NVR power cords. Not only do they say for indoor use only but they have the power converter in the middle of the cord which makes them impossible to run as camera cords.Second Update about two weeks later: oossxx finally came through and sent me the correct camera power cords. I updated this to four stars because they do have an excellent product and made right with their mix up.

Not a 5mp system. I got a 2mp system with less than average cameras.
The media could not be loaded. This was said to be a 5mp camera system however when I recieved it all of the cameras were 2.0mp and cannot be changed. I purchased cameras from this coimpany before so I was disappointed with the quality of the new cameras. My old ones will be going back up and these taken down. The remote is a joke and should not even be included as it is completely worthless. The quality of the cameras cannot be changed and they are locked at 2.0mp and 15fps which is ridiculous. In the past I was able to change the bitrate mode, bitrate, fps, and other options. On this system these settings are all greyed out and if you see the attached phote the only drop down option it give me is the resolution. This is misleading since the only option that the drop down shows is the single option it is set to already. This was definately not sold as advertised. The horrible quality of the low framerate makes it completely worthless when it rains since every raindrop is a long smear down the video stream. I hope I am not robbed while its raining then I wont be able to see what happens. The 5mp actually being 2mp also makes for a utterly useless camera since zooming in even a little turns your view into absolute garbage, I have also attached a photo of the quality in zoom.Daytime recording is not too bad but again very grainy if the object or people are more than 10 -20 feet away. The microphone is great and picks up noises at 50 feet without issue. I have heard people standing at a considerable distance without having to adjust the volume. I was actually slightly impressed by the quality of the audio recoding. The night vision is also decent and is very bright, and even almost too bright sometimes. The infrared goes a considerable further than other cameras that I have used in the past. If night time clairity or picture clarity is not what is important then you should be pleased with this camera system. I however would give this a 1 star if not for the sound recording on the cameras being awesome.
